Simonds is located in Diss, Norfolk and provides coach holidays and excursions, garage services, training and conference facilities, coach travel and private hire. Roland Oswald Simonds founded the company in the late 1920's. He started his business repairing bicycles and agricultural machinery before moving into coaches in the early thirties with just two coaches. These were used to carry passeng

ers and provisions around the local area and during the summer months trips to the seaside. The company now has 40+ coaches and a turnover of £4.5m. Coaching is the mainstay of the company but there is also a car/van/HGV repair facility, and MOT's certification. The company employs over 85 staff. Following a company move in 2005 from their roots in Botesdale to Diss The hub and main operating centre is at the purpose built premises, Roswald House Oak Drive. The current fleet of coaches has a broad range of vehicle types. Volvo is the most predominant chassis the others being, Ford, Mercedes, MAN.
