Tea Dances at the Maison Dieu

Dover Town Council is inviting eligible local residents to register their interest for free tickets to Tea Dances at the historic Maison Dieu.

Dates available:
3 June, 8 July, 5 August, 2 September and 7 October 2026
All sessions run from 1:00pm to 3:30pm.

Open to residents living within the CT16 and CT17 Dover Town Wards. A maximum of four tickets per household may be requested. Spaces are limited and tickets will be allocated subject to availability.

Have you seen these plants?

They were last spotted looking healthy and minding their own business bothering absolutely no one, before going missing Sunday under suspicious circumstances.

If anyone has any information on the whereabouts of the missing plants, or any news that may help with enquiries, please do get in touch. Reward offered for return of plants of information leading to recovery of plants.

Dover’s greenery deserves better than disappearing overnight.

Message from Dover Town Council:

It is shocking that new planting along the Dour behind the Maison Dieu was stolen and vandalised on Sunday.

This was part of a shared effort to make Dover greener, brighter and more beautiful for everyone. Planting behind Morrisons, cared for by Transition Dover, was also damaged — an insult to all those who have given their time, care and heart to making Dover a better place to live.

Do we want to live in a grey, neglected town, or one our families can be proud of?

Snowdown Colliery Welfare Male Voice Choir
Saturday 4 April

Dover Town Council is offering free limited ticket registration for Hearts, Minds and Voice, a special concert by the Snowdown Colliery Welfare Male Voice Choir on Saturday 4 April.

This special evening brings the community together through music while helping to raise funds for the British Heart Foundation and StrongMen. The event also supports Dover Town Council’s wider commitment to men’s health and wellbeing and a growing programme of cultural events at the Maison Dieu.

Tickets are free, but numbers are limited and advance registration is required. Refreshments will be available during the interval.
