This is Lake Titicaca staying at the wonderful Titilaka lakeside hotel in PERU… With Beautiful views, sun glistening down on the highest navigable lake in the world, we glided over to the floating Uros reed islands (hand-made no less!) to visit ancient indigenous communities who live here, to learn about their extraordinary humble happy existence. Dearest Cynthia showed us her home, beautifully tidy inside… so proud and welcoming… it puts my own life into perspective.

I’ve travelled far and wide in South America but Tinajani Canyon in Peru really blew my mind!!! Gigantic rock formations soar above our “miniature” camp tucked away in a centuries old adobe house. Stories of years gone by and mystical tales are told under gigantic starlit skies. Faces appear in the rock formations as you bathe in your hot tub. Spending a few days hiking in these hidden canyons is beyond anything I had imagined. It was simply incredible. Thank you
