At Cranmer, we care for the planet as much as we care for our guests.

Park the car and explore with sustainable travel from Cranmer 🚴‍♂️🚴‍♀️🚴

There is so much to see during your stay, and you can cycle directly from your holiday accommodation or jump on a bus if you wish to explore further.

Without venturing too far, there is the wonderful Holkham estate, with its 600 acres of parkland, fallow deer herd, and abundant wildlife, and the amazing Sculthorpe Moor Nature Reserve is just down the road.

Or you can cycle to Fakenham and then jump on the Coastliner to visit all that the Norfolk coast has to offer.

We have a secure designated cycle storage on site if you bring your own bikes, or cycles can be hired locally and delivered at the start or during your holiday via On Yer Bike Norfolk Cycle Hire (https://www.norfolkcyclehire.co.uk/) pre-booking is neccessary, just give them a call with your requirements.

We warmly invite you to our preview opening this Sunday, April 13th, from 11am-4pm.

We are preparing for the new season and very much look forward to welcoming you to the Maritime Heritage Centre in Stiffkey, showcasing our local maritime history with displays, artefacts, films, stories of lifeboat Lucy Lavers and local wooden fishing boats and communities, a quiz and activities for children, as well as guided visits to the working boatyard next door.

We are then fully open every Sunday and bank holiday Monday from April 19th to the end of October 11-4.

Easter Holiday Trail
From Saturday 5th April take part in our 'Bird Of Prey Trail'. Look out for the ten plaques and find out more about the birds of prey found on the reserve. Keep your eye out and you may be lucky enough to spot them in real life! Booking not required, available every day of the Easter holiday. £1.50 per participating child, chocolate eggs included. The 60th Earth Hour 🌎 is happening today on 22nd March at 8.30pm.
It encourages people to switch their lights off for an hour and to spend the hour doing something good for the planet.

Earth Hour was created to show symbolic support for the planet and to raise awareness of the environmental issues affecting it.

We believe that we should be thinking about our planet every day. Sustainable tourism is at the heart of what we do, and has been an important part of our business practice for the past 20 years.
