After her time in the Masai Mara, Amy headed to the Diani Coast to discover some beachside gems.

What a wonderful evening celebrating 50 years of AITO (Association of Independent Tour Operators). Ash clouds, airport closures, pandemics and wars, it was good to mark the fortitude of the industry and recognise the support we give to travellers as they navigate our beautiful but sometimes turbulent world. It meant a great deal, therefore, that we achieved Gold in the Tour Operator of the Year Awards during the evening, based on client feedback. Thank you so much to our intrepid Bushbaby travellers and dedicated team who are so passionate about creating and curating adventures across the globe, whatever Mother Nature and global politics may have in store 🙏❤️🌎

A night in London for the AITO (Association of Independent Tour Operators) 50th Birthday celebrations and awards ceremony that felt like a return to Jaipur in some senses, with the architecture, colour and even elephants! What a great spot for a pre or post holiday magical night or two if you’re travelling from further afield but flying from London!

Mauritius is home to some amazing beaches, but which is our favourite? Le Morne has to top the list or come close - a long stretch of stunning sand on the South West of the island, with mountain backdrop and a coral reef not far from shore, not to mention incredible sunsets. Book a beachfront suite at and you’ll only be steps away from this little piece of paradise. If you can drag yourself away from your lounger, there’s also some delightful activities nearby in Charmarel including coffee tours, forest hikes to waterfalls and the famous 7 coloured earth. You may even spot a giant tortoise! 🐢🏝️

Le Morne in our view, is the most delightful corner of Mauritius. Meaning ‘the World’, it does indeed feel its own little piece of paradise on the South West coast of this tropical island. Abi and her daughter, on a pre-GCSE girls trip, have been exploring a little further beyond the grounds of the stunning (which isn’t easy to leave!)and took a guided tour around Chamarel, only 30 minutes away, including the coffee plantation, waterfalls, giant tortoises and famous 7 coloured earth geopark. Then back to the beach for the afternoon, happy days!

This week we’ve been busy booking quite a few trips to Japan, including a stay at the amazing in Hakone near Mount Fuji. After the fast pace of Tokyo, this traditional ryokan is the perfect place to relax with your own private onsen or hot spring! How beautiful is this?!
