Ooooh controversial!! I LOVE Koh Samui it’s one of my favourite islands Thailand and I always recommend to clients especially those with kids as there is just so much you can do there - from swimming with pigs, to zip lines, elephants, temples, speedboats , Thai boxing , foot masses and just pure relaxation .

However the Maldives sea has to be seen (and swum in) to be believed - it is simply another level of serenity and paradise . Just much quieter and more Honeymooney 🥰. I have been lucky enough to have ticked 4 off this list so I clearly need to start planning the remaining 6!
