🌿 More than just a guided walk

Our guided walks are an important part of what the Friends do, but they’re only one part of the story.

The Friends organise guided walks for pre-booked parties, with the profits going directly towards funding special projects in the garden.

Alongside this, membership gives access to special events, visits and our quarterly Streamside newsletter.

It’s all part of our aim to encourage people to become more involved with Harlow Carr.

Membership is just £10 per household per year.

🌿 A different way to experience Harlow Carr

One of the pleasures of being a Friend is getting opportunities to see and hear more about the garden than you might during an ordinary visit.

Friends can take part in special-interest visits accompanied by Harlow Carr staff, hear about the garden’s plans and enjoy events organised especially for members.

It’s a chance to get a little closer to a garden you already love.

Friends membership is just £10 per household per year.

🌱 Your £10 membership makes a difference

The Friends have a long history of supporting projects at Harlow Carr.

Over the years, Friends funding has helped provide things including wildlife cameras, mobility scooters, the Friendship Bridge, the bird hide, equipment for the Alpine section and the historic book Botanologia.

These are things that can make a difference to the garden and to the people who enjoy it.

So when you become a Friend, you’re not simply joining an organisation — you’re helping us continue that tradition.

Membership is £10 per household per year.
