✨ ONE YEAR OF DESIGNER TRAVEL ✨

A year ago, I took a huge leap of faith. After being part of the Senior Leadership Team at Hays Travel, I left the security of a salaried role and joined the award winning Designer Travel. I stepped away from management and back to what I've always loved most... helping people find their perfect holiday. 🌎✈️☀️

I won't lie, going self-employed was nerve-wracking. As many of you know, in travel we don't get paid until after our customers travel, so it was a big decision to take that leap.
But wow... what a year it's been!

🩷I just want to say a HUGE thank you to everyone who has supported me, followed my page, liked and shared my posts, watched my Sunday updates and, most importantly, trusted me with your precious holidays. I have genuinely been overwhelmed by the support and by just how busy you've kept me.

Thanks to you all , I've now reached an amazing 1,000 followers and booked 100’s of customers holidays this year! 🎉🥂

For those who don't know me, I've worked in the travel industry for 38 years. I'm not a call centre or a voice on the end of the phone. I'm a real person who genuinely cares about your holiday from start to finish, and it won't cost you a penny more to book with me. 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗹 𝗥𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗣𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝗼𝗿 𝘃𝗶𝗮 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗨𝗦𝗔

If you're travelling to or via the USA, including transiting through a US airport on your way to another destination, please be aware of a new health-related travel requirement introduced by the US authorities, effective from 4 November 2026.

Following an Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, all passengers travelling to or via the USA by air are now required to complete and sign a health declaration form (attestation) confirming that they have not been physically present in the Democratic Republic of the Congo during the previous 21 days.

𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗱?

The health declaration must be completed and signed before boarding your flight to the USA.

As the process may vary between airlines, please check directly with your airline before travelling to confirm how and when you need to complete the declaration. This may be done online in advance or as part of the airline's check-in process.

As this is a new requirement, procedures may vary while airlines implement the changes, so we recommend checking for the latest guidance before departure.

𝗣𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝗯𝗲 𝗮𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲:

• Passengers who have been in the Democratic Republic of the Congo within the previous 21 days may not be permitted to board flights to the USA.

• Additional entry restrictions and screening requirements may apply to travellers who have recently visited Uganda or South Sudan.

If you have an upcoming trip involving the USA, we recommend checking the latest entry requirements and guidance from your airline before travelling.

It's been another busy week. The Guy Carnival was brilliant for Harwich, and I'll be working until Wednesday before heading off to Southern China 🇨🇳 with 100 people from all over the world 🌏✈️

🚨 SPOOKY SUITCASE WARNING! Your luggage accessories could be heading for the airport graveyard! 😱

These can get caught in airport conveyor belts and baggage sorting machinery, potentially causing problems for your case.

👀 I’ve been doing a little insider investigating! When I visited Southend Airport, I had a fascinating chat with the baggage handlers, who showed me their very own GRAVEYARD OF SUITCASE COVERS, RIBBONS AND STRAPS! 💀

Yes, really! They’ve got a collection of the poor things that have been caught along the way!
