27 years ago… little Harry in his oversized uniform, me juggling school drop off with life as a regional manager. I’d worked full time since he was 3 and always carried that mum guilt but we made up for it with the best holidays and memories.

And the funny thing is… we still do.
Me and Harry still travel together now, and his lovely wife Becca now joins us. One minute it’s Australia after university, the next we’re climbing mountains in France or skiing in Andorra the list of family adventures just keeps growing. It’s honestly one of my favourite things in life.

Today it’s my nieces’ turn…
Tiny little Mabel starting reception (my heart 😭) and Nancy marching into Year 5 like the queen she is 🤣

And to all the parents waving their babies off to uni I feel you.
I cried for the three months before Harry left and the first three months he was actually there. It’s a huge emotional shift, but they fly, they grow, and they come back with stories that make you burst with pride.

Sending love to everyone doing the emotional school run today.

What’s new in travel this week:
• EasyJet winter 27/28 now launched
• Disneyland Paris released too you can drive, fly or Eurostar
• Important update: travelling to or from Ireland by ferry now requires a passport

And once again… for the 5th time in just a few months, I’ve helped customers who didn’t book with me but booked through Love Holidays or On The Beach. Return flights cancelled, not advised, could have been refused boarding and lost £1000s. Which? Simon Calder and me your travel girl warn about them all the time 🤬 They don’t care. You might save a few hundred… but you could lose thousands.
