If your a Country music fan no trip to Nashville would be complete without a visit to Grand Ole Opry and this year it’s celebrating its 100th Birthday 🎉

I went Tuesday night, another bucket list moment ticked off my long bucket list 🪣

Talk about goose bump moment, the history, atmosphere, live music 🎵 just an absolutely amazing 2.5 hours.

Just 25 minutes from centre of Nashville snd a $30 dollar Uber ride, get there at least 30 minutes before the show starts so you can get through security and to your seat in plenty of time. I booked our tickets 6 weeks in advance and got front of stage in row 2 so fabulous seats, but if your on a budget tickets where on sale from $50 dollars.

✈️ Travelling to Europe? Important Update on the New EU Entry/Exit System (EES)

The EU’s new Entry/Exit System (EES) is now fully in place across European borders. Most travellers are moving through smoothly, but some airports are seeing longer queues especially at peak times so here’s what you need to know.

I’ve personally been through the new system three times since it launched, and while it’s simple enough, the first registration can take a little longer.

What is EES?
EES replaces passport stamping with a secure digital record of your entry and exit. On your first trip, you’ll register:

• A facial image
• Fingerprints
(Children under 12 usually only need a facial image.)

What to Expect
Your first EES registration may take extra time. Be prepared for:

• Longer queues at immigration during busy periods
• Extra checks depending on airport and time of day
• Delays if several flights arrive at once
• Occasional additional document checks

Once registered, your details stay valid for around three years but this doesn’t guarantee a fast track lane. Waiting times will still vary, so always allow plenty of time.

If You’ve Booked a Private Transfer
Longer queues may delay you reaching your driver. To avoid issues:

• Check your transfer documents before travel
• Save the supplier’s emergency number
• Contact them if you’re delayed at immigration or baggage reclaim
• Keep your phone switched on and able to receive calls

If you exceed the supplier’s waiting time policy without making contact, it may be treated as a no show.

Flying Home
Allow extra time for check‑in, security and border control.
Arrive at least three hours before departure and head through airport formalities promptly. Some airports have extra checks or long walks to gates, so don’t leave it too late.

Top Tips for Smooth Travel

• Arrive at the airport in good time (minimum three hours)
• Keep passports and documents handy
• Have accommodation and return details ready
• Keep your phone charged and switched on
• Expect queues during busy travel periods

🤠 HOWDY FROM AUSTIN AIRPORT

Happy Sunday from the end of our Austin chapter on this fab girly adventure and what a time we’ve had 💃✨

Austin has been all about brunches, rooftop bars, shopping and of course the live music (it really is the Live Music Capital of the World). We even dipped into the famous Elephant Room jazz bar for those smooth late night vibes 🎷

We shopped ’til we dropped and because WHEN IN TEXAS… YOU BUY THE COWBOY BOOTS …we absolutely did 👢🔥
We also ticked off the iconic Austin bats at sunset, a proper bucket list moment 🦇🌅

Now we’re at the airport with a sneaky glass of wine, boots packed, and on route to Nashville. Can’t wait to update you on the next chapter of this girly trip 🎸💛

AUSTIN UPDATE 🌟
Touchdown in Austin on Thursday night and honestly… the travel gods were on our side 🙌
Through customs and immigration and bags collected in under an hour absolute dream start to the trip 🇺🇸✨

Quick Uber to downtown (only $30 and arrived in minutes) and we checked into the Omni Hotel, quirky, cool, and complete with a rooftop bar and pool. Yes please 🍹🏙️

THURSDAY NIGHT
Straight out for cocktails and “light bites”… except they were NOT light. Texas portions are no joke and I love it 😂🍤🍸

FRIDAY FUN
Friday = brunch day at Josephine House, the cutest little spot, fab food, total vibe 💙

Then came the danger… boot shopping.
We wandered into Allen’s Boots, fell in love instantly, and yes we both bought a pair. When in Texas 👢🔥

We spent the whole day zipping around in a Waymo, basically an Uber with no driver. The future is wild and we’re just casually living in it 🤖🚗

FRIDAY NIGHT
Rounded off the day with a steak dinner before heading to a jazz bar for live music and late‑night vibes 🎶✨

EPIC START
An absolutely epic start to our USA adventure, sunshine, food, fun, boots, tech, music… Austin is delivering 💛🌵
