If you’ve visited us lately, you might have noticed some areas of our grounds looking a little "wilder" than usual. We aren’t just forgetting to mow—we’re re-wilding! 🐝✨

We are passionate about preserving the stunning Pembrokeshire landscape, and that starts right here in our own garden. By letting the grass grow and creating dedicated re-wilding zones, we are helping to tackle some pretty serious statistics:

📉 Did you know? Woodland bird populations (including our local sparrows and starlings) saw a staggering 59% decrease between 2015 and 2020. 🐦

Why the long grass? 🌾
It’s about more than just aesthetics! Our re-wilding areas provide:

🏠 Habitats for bees, ladybirds, and vital pollinators.

🌼 Room for native wildflowers to bloom and thrive.

🦋 Increased biodiversity to support the entire local food chain.

We’ve been busy bees getting Newgagle Lodge ready for the season, and we’re so excited to show off our fresh look. The grass is freshly mown, the new signage is up, and our brand-new fire pit is ready for those cozy evening s'mores. 🪵🔥
