𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗵𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘆𝗺𝗼𝗼𝗻 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝘀𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝗵𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗹𝘀.
𝗔𝗿𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗼𝗿 𝗳𝗹𝗲𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀?
I understand the temptation.
You’re finally doing the big trip. Everything looks incredible. Adding another stop feels easier than deciding what to leave out.
But “it’s only a one-hour flight” leaves out packing, checking out, getting to the airport, waiting, collecting luggage and travelling to the next hotel.
The plane gets one hour. Your holiday gets the bill.
Here’s how I’d pressure-test the itinerary:
𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁 𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗹 𝗱𝗮𝘆𝘀, 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗻𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀.
Two nights might leave you one full day. What do you actually want to do with it?
𝗚𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗽 𝗮 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗼𝗻.
If two places offer much the same experience, would staying longer in one give you a better holiday?
𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗱𝗮𝘆.
Write down the whole journey, hotel door to hotel door. Then decide whether that extra stop still appeals.
Some trips deserve several bases. Others need someone to gently confiscate the map.
Send me your ambitious honeymoon wishlist. I’ll help work out what fits beautifully, what needs longer and what deserves its own trip.
Preferably before you become personally acquainted with every hotel checkout policy in Southeast Asia.
