Ahhhh, the summer holidays are nearly over! 🥹

For those of you with little ones heading off to school for the first time, what a HUGE moment! Good luck to you AND your little ones… you’ve got this 🤍

If you’ve got younger children and aren’t tied to the school holidays just yet though, September can be such a lovely time to get away. Fewer crowds, often better prices and hopefully still some lovely weather ☀️

We’ve actually only just booked our September holiday in the last couple of days and I cannot wait! ✈️☀️

Anyone else planning a last-minute getaway once the schools go back? 👀 Are you thinking UK 🇬🇧 or heading overseas for some sunshine? ☀️✈️

Firstly, I know the headpiece on Bella is wild 😂 but I lost yet ANOTHER hat. I think we lost about 4 hats on this trip, including a couple we bought in Cornwall… madness. Anyone else have the same problem with toddlers and their hats?!

Anyway, onto Harlyn Bay 🌊

This beach was recommended to us by a friend and I’m so glad we went because it was perfect for what we needed!

We’d visited St Ives a few days before, which of course is beautiful, but the beach was SO windy and trying to put up a beach tent with a little one and no windbreak was... eventful 😂

Harlyn Bay is much more sheltered than some of the other beaches we visited and such a lovely beach for families. There are rock pools for little ones to explore and dip their toes in, plenty of parking, toilets and a few places to grab food and drinks too.

We took a picnic and ended up spending nearly the whole day here. We had our little set-up with the beach tent, umbrella and our big picnic blanket, which also meant Bella could have her nap in the tent while we stayed on the beach 🙌🏼

Definitely one I’d recommend if you’re visiting Cornwall with babies or young children. We loved it 🤍

It’s been the best year, and I still can’t quite believe we’re here already.
