Dreaming of a family holiday in France? 🇫🇷☀️

These beautiful family-friendly holiday homes are all located in the Dordogne, a lovely part of France known for its rolling countryside, pretty villages and local markets.

Think private pools, space for little ones to play, family breakfasts on the terrace, BBQs in the evening and plenty of room for the whole family to spend some quality time together.

Travelling with a baby… what actually made it easier 🤍

Here are a few things I found made travelling with a baby a lot easier, so thought I’d share in case it helps you too!

1. A good buggy
We normally use our everyday Silver Cross, but it’s quite big and not really ideal for travelling. We used the YOYO3 for this trip (we actually rented ours which was so handy if you don’t want to buy another buggy or have the space at home - i highly recommend). It’s so light and being able to take it straight onto the plane made such a difference.
2. Snacks… always 😅
Having snacks or a packed lunch really helped! It kept her happy on the plane, on the train and just generally on the go, even at 9 months!
3. Letting go of routine
My mum always says once you get into a routine, you can break it… and that’s exactly what we did 😂
We just went with the flow and Bella was so good with it - she use to stop napping if we stopped the buggy moving but she stayed asleep while having lunch or coffee!
4. A couple of new toys
I got a few bits just for the trip - the fidget spinners that stick to windows were such a win on the plane and train (and of course straight in the mouth 😂).
I’ve actually put them away now ready for the next trip rather than buying new toys each time.
5. Milton wipes… everywhere 🤣
Probably obvious, but such a lifesaver. Bella is at that stage where everything goes straight in her mouth… like what is it with babies and the poles on the underground?! 😂
6. A small grab bag within your changing bag
This made SUCH a difference. Just having a smaller bag with the essentials meant I didn’t have to take the whole changing bag every time we needed a quick nappy change.

Cornwall with little ones… yes please 🤍

After our recent trip, I’ve really realised how much the right place makes all the difference - especially when travelling with a baby

Right on the edge of Newquay with the most beautiful views, this looks like such a lovely option for families with little ones

– Family-friendly coastal location
– Spacious studios and apartments (so handy with a baby)

– Just a short walk to the beach

It looks like the kind of place that would make things feel that bit easier with little ones…

A lovely little spot in the heart of the Dordogne 💛

Le Chevrefeuille is such a great base for families with little ones - a peaceful hamlet surrounded by countryside but close to so many fab things to do (we’re talking châteaux, caves, aquariums, prehistoric parks... all within 30 mins!)

There’s a mix of B&B rooms and two cottages, and it’s got that perfect balance of feeling small and friendly but with space to roam and explore.

Kids can make new friends and stay entertained with an enclosed swimming pool, indoor playroom, football, animals, and bikes - plus there’s even an onsite cooking school offering courses for both adults and families, all centred around delicious seasonal Dordogne produce.
