Three years of doing what I love 💫
When I started my Travel Counsellors business, I had no idea what I’d end up specialising in or what I’d be best at. Three years on, I’ve booked over £1.2 million worth of holidays, and I’m so grateful to every single one of you who has helped me get here.

Over time my business has naturally grown into creating high-end luxury escapes, ski adventures, family holidays and multi-centre itineraries that pack in as many amazing experiences as possible.
Along the way I’ve been lucky enough to do a lot of travelling and learning myself – from river cruising along the Danube, to exploring Sri Lanka, Greece, Mallorca and Ibiza, skiing in the Alps, and discovering Singapore and Bali. Every trip has taught me something new that I bring back into the way I plan your holidays.
And the bucket list just keeps growing… Bolivia, the Philippines, Montenegro and so many more still to come.

Sri Lanka with teenagers… as a mum and a travel agent 👇
By the time your children hit 15 and 17, holidays look very different. You are juggling exams, social lives, phones and, if you are the only adult, you are also in charge of safety, structure and logistics.
I have sold Sri Lanka to couples and families for years and always had amazing feedback, but this summer was my first chance to experience it myself with my two (15 and 17). I wanted proper adventure: wildlife, culture and beach, but with a clear route, a trusted driver and places where we would all feel safe and supported.

Our 12‑night route looked like this:
⭐️Sigiriya: Aliya Resort & Spa for Lion Rock views and an elephant safari on day one.
•⭐️Ella: 98 Acres for “wow” views over the tea hills and a fun, backpacker‑y town.
⭐️Yala: a beautiful leopard safari camp that turned out to be a bit too wild for my daughter, so we cut it to one night after two brilliant game drives.
⭐️Galle Fort: Galle Fort Hotel for cobbled streets, boutiques and a special morning making silver rings with a local jeweller.
⭐️Weligama: the Marriott for four nights of western‑style comfort, surf lessons and pool time right on the beach.
•⭐️Negombo: Jetwing Beach for an easy last night near the airport (and a surreal 3 a.m. drive past a floodlit cricket match!).

There were definitely wobbles: jungle noises, lizards on the path, unfamiliar food and the horror of almost no Wi‑Fi in the safari camp. As a Mum, I felt that extra responsibility to notice when something had tipped from “adventure” into “too much” and to adjust the plan. Cutting Yala short and adding Galle Fort was absolutely the right decision for us.

But there were also the moments I will never forget:

⭐️Watching wild elephants on our very first afternoon.
•⭐️Standing on a viewpoint in Ella with the hills rolling away beneath us.
•⭐️Sitting in a tiny workshop in Galle, hammering and polishing our own silver rings.
•⭐️Watching my son catch wave after wave in Weligama while my daughter and I relaxed by the pool.

Sri Lanka gave us exactly what I had hoped for: variety, a sense of adventure, and enough familiarity and structure that we never felt overwhelmed or unsafe.

If you are thinking about Sri Lanka (or another long‑haul destination) with teens and want that balance of “wow” moments and easy days, or you are a single parent who wants to feel properly supported and safe, I would love to design something just for you.

Sri Lanka with teens!
After years of sending my clients there, I finally took my own two (15 and 17) on a two‑week adventure: elephants and Lion Rock in Sigiriya, tea hills and pool clubs plus the zip line in Ella, a beautiful but very wild night in a leopard safari camp, a dreamy stop at Galle Fort Hotel, then four nights of surf and pool time at the Marriott in Weligama before flying home via Negombo.
There were wobbles: jungle noises, patchy Wi‑Fi and everyone being a bit out of their comfort zone at times. But there were also the “this is why we did it” moments: watching wild elephants on day one, hammering silver rings together in Galle, surf lessons in Weligama and those quiet sunsets where nobody needed to say much at all.

Flashback to a couple of weeks ago when we stayed in the stunning Galle Fort Hotel. After a night in the Yalla jungle it was such a beautiful contrast to stay in this stunning hotel situated in the old Dutch Fort area of Galle.

Sri Lanka is an incredibly diverse destination and Galle is one of its many highlights.

This historic coastal city in southern Sri Lanka, is best known for its beautifully preserved Dutch-era fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, charming streets, and ocean views. It offers a mix of colonial history, vibrant cafés, boutique shops, and nearby beaches, making it one of the country’s most popular travel destinations.

And who doesn’t love a ‘press for ch*****ne button’! Sadly we didn’t press it !!

Photo dump of some of the highlights of Sri Lanka. Such a diverse and interesting place to visit . So many different landscapes and environments .

As a travel agent I have sold holidays to Sri Lanka to over 20 people, but this is the first time I have visited myself.

It was a real adventure and assault on the senses, and I think for my teenagers a little bit out of their comfort zone at times. But who needs to stay in their comfort zone right?!
