Based in the heart of Hadrian’s Wall country, we create fun, inclusive and fully tailored tours shaped around your interests and pace, from relaxed 3-mile wanders to epic multi-day hikes. Claire is an outdoor enthusiast, certified first aider, and trainee Mountain Leader with a deep love for exploring both the familiar and hidden corners of Northumberland. She’s passionate about creating unique, w

elcoming tours that make everyone feel at home, weaving together stories that bring the rich history and natural beauty of the area to life. When she’s not out exploring, Claire’s likely adding to her growing collection of books she’ll definitely read one day, sampling local craft beers, or diving into creative projects—always ready for the next adventure! Originally from Yorkshire, Katie ventured into the “proper North” in 2002 and quickly fell for the sweeping horizons, rugged scenery, and rich heritage of Northumberland—and she’s called it home ever since. With a background in sports coaching and as a run leader at her local club, Katie loves supporting people of all abilities on their journeys, creating tours that are inclusive, fun, and full of discovery. Always up for an adventure, Katie is a fan of ultra races (especially the ones with plenty of snacks!). When she’s not on the trails in her trusty running shoes, you’ll find her dancing to country tunes in her cowboy boots, embracing the spirit of exploration every step of the way.

A brilliant morning on Hadrian’s Wall. The sky was as spectacular as the Wall. Katie also bumped into Mike and Beth, previous tour guests who were back exploring more of the Wall, and a couple of rock climbers above Crag Lough. She didn’t bump into Claire out on the Wall, but you can’t have everything.

Rain or shine, Hadrian’s Wall is always spectacular.

Despite working together, running together and spending more time together than most people probably should, we still get ridiculously excited when our tours meet on the Wall.

Every. Single. Time.

Katie and gang had so much fun walking the Greenlee Lough Loop. Claire and gang decided to come and run it. It did not disappoint.

So much weather. So much wildlife. Endless views, boardwalks, and feeling completely immersed in the landscape. It really is one of Northumberland’s hidden gems.

You can start from Steel Rigg (adding around 2 miles to the route) or use the small permissive car park. From Steel Rigg, turn right at the sign for Gibbs Hill Farm and follow the farm track until you see signs for the car park.

Whether you’re walking or running, you won’t be disappointed.

And we thought the emu was going to be the most unexpected thing we’d see on Hadrian’s Wall today…

The most unexpected encounter on Hadrian’s Wall to date…

This is Chris, who along with fellow joggler Scott, are joggling their way across Hadrian’s Wall.

Joggling, for the uninitiated, is running while juggling.

Chris is the world record holder for the fastest joggled half marathon in an incredible 1 hour 16 minutes. Scott holds the record for the fastest five-ball joggled 400 metres.

They’re joggling the full length of Hadrian’s Wall over three days … because running Hadrian’s Wall in three days isn’t challenging enough? What an amazing feat!

Chris’s next challenge? 100 miles joggling! Good luck!
