We have been closed for a while as we had some friends staying, but they have now moved back down south, so we are very excited to be open again as a holiday let.
As we've had the diary closed for bookings until now, this means we have plenty of space for you to choose when you want to come and see us, so hurry and book your holiday in our lovely cottage just yards from the historic canal, whilst we have plenty of space..

Teapot Row (historically Teapot Row, now officially known as Canal Cottages) is a picturesque, historic terrace of stone cottages located on the towpath of the Peak Forest Canal right by the famous Bugsworth Basin in Buxworth, Derbyshire.

Key Details & History

The Name: The cottages received their charming and unusual nickname because the residents of the terrace reportedly used to empty their teapots directly into the canal.

Location: They sit along the waterside near the historically important Bugsworth Basin, which is the only surviving intact inland port on the UK's narrow canal system.

Visiting: The area is highly popular with walkers and canal enthusiasts. You can access the towpath easily on foot from the center of Buxworth, which is just a short drive or scenic walk from Whaley Bridge and Chapel-en-le-Frith.
