Famagusta was our next stop! Rich in history from the ruins of Salamis to the eerie journey through Varosha the ghost town. We also continued our history exploration by visiting Saint Barnabus and the Walled city! Goosebumps from the sights and sounds throughout the day made this an even more unforgettable part of our tour of North Cyprus. We even popped into the Hotel Newmarket use for their Christmas All Inclusive the stunning 5* Salamis Bay Conti.

I'd definitely recommend this tour if you love your history, nice hotel, lovely people, scenery is just amazing. There is also the beach side to this tour coming on the next post !!!!

Susan is still in Northern Cyprus & yesterday the next stop was Nicosia. Here we shopped until we dropped at Bandabulya and the shopping streets and visited some incredible historical and religious buildings such as the Great Inn and Saint Sophia . We then experienced visiting both sides of the border by foot which is pretty fascinating to experience and see/feel the transition from the Turkish influences to the Greek and then back! We finished off the day with a delicious and plentiful lunch hosted by the Visit North Cyprus at Valide Hanim Kodak .It was great to meet the tourism team and experience 5 star friendly hospitality and discuss all the wonderful things this destination has to offer especially with the 3 options that Newmarket Holidays offer

Our staff member Susan, Hosted by Wayne from Newmarket Holidays & Nathan from Leeds Bradford Airport, has travelled to Larnaca in Cyprus and then transferred by mini bus to Northern Cyprus, 1hr 30mins Staying at The 4* Pia Bella hotel in Kyrenia for 5 nights.
