Our Story
Welcome to Hays Travel Hythe, where I am proud to say i am the manager. I have worked in the travel industry since leaving school. This gives me over 30 years’ experience in a business that I love and have a passion for. I started my career with Hays travel in 2013 and became the manager of this branch in November 2017. My favourite destinations include the Caribbean and Egypt. Being a very keen Scuba diver these two destination provide excellent underwater life for me to enjoy and photograph.
I am very lucky to have a fantastic team comprising of Louise my assistant manager, who has worked in travel since returning from France where she worked for Eurocamps in 2015. She loves to travel and has recently returned from a multi-centre visit to Thailand fulfilling a lifelong dream of visiting the elephants in Chiang Mai. Vicky is the first of our senior travel consultants, and has worked in travel for 12 years. She has visited various destinations ranging from all over Europe to the Middle East, Asia, the USA and Caribbean. Her favourite destination is Thailand which is diverse, friendly and truly stunning. Amy is another of our senior travel consultant who qualified as a travel consultant 7 years ago. She has travelled to various destinations but her best memories are of cruising round Europe. Daniel started with Hays travel as an apprentice and qualified 2 years ago. He has travelled to the Dominican Republic, Cape Verde, New York and is an expert on Disneyland Paris. Katie is our second year apprentice. She started with Hays Travel in September 2017. She loves Spain which she has visited several times on holiday with her family. She is looking forward to completing her apprenticeship later this year and becoming a fully qualified travel consultant. Amber is our first year apprentice. She started with us in September. She is focused on learning and developing the skills needed to become a travel consultant, and is using the wealth of knowledge from her colleagues to do this. Karen recently joined us as a foreign exchange consultant in the Hythe branch. She has a wealth of knowledge and experience in the business and will always strive to meet your foreign currency requirement at the most competitive exchange rates possible.
We are very well situated in the lovely village of Hythe bordering the beautiful New Forest. We are close to the local marina and practically next door to the Hythe ferry which has the oldest pier train in the world and has regular services to the city of Southampton.
