🇪🇬🐠🏖️Sharing my Egypt Family Holiday experience with you! …. We travelled for a week, came home yesterday and stayed in Sharm El Sheikh at the Coral Sea Water World Resort 💦
Family hotel, 4 ⭐️ with onsite waterpark, lazy river, wave pool, All Inclusive with dining options including à la Cartes such as a Italian, Asian, Stonegrill, Indian as well buffet and dinner on the beach options .🍴Private Beach, SPA, bars including a swim up bar, football pitch, beach and sea activities available, entertainment team,rooms can sleep up to six people.

Here’s what we did ….
Would I go back with the kids?- Absolutley!
✈️We flew on the TUI Dreamliner plane which had plenty of leg room, seat back TVs with movies , games etc. Flight duration of 4 hours 40 mins outbound and 5 hours 15 mins return.
As you can see on the photos Sharm airport was quiet , straightforward and no hold up.
A quick 15/20 mins airport transfer to the hotel.
📍Hotel is located on the beach and has plenty of shops , restaurants etc outside of it.
🎸The Hard Rock Restaurant is a minute walk away which was good on a evening offering karaoke nights, bands, food was cheaper then UK and big portions, cocktails was good too!
Great music, atmosphere, any age can go , fun feel and great atmosphere.
📍We visited Soho Square where the dancing fountains are and play every hour, Ice bar, at Soho you can shop hassle free, have a walk around , restaurants etc in a modern setting.
📍We also went to Naama Bay Centre, again loads of shops , restaurants , busy vibe.
📍 Old Sharm, here it was more traditional, lots of shops, stalls, market , haggling galore, souvenir bargains. I also visited the Mosk here.
📍Farsha Cafe - this is a chilled vibe, built into the mountain lanterns and lights so pretty overlooking the lit up boats and yachts on the Red Sea. You need to go on an evening to see it properly. Adult only on lower floor and Families on upper floor. This is popular for photo opportunities .
⬆️You can book a Excursion to cover these places we did a “City Tour” with a guide one evening and after that went ourselves .
💦 Onsite Waterpark at the hotel is very good. Even though it was August School Holidays no queue for anything and not too busy.
18 slides, splash area, wave pool and lazy river was all a hit with us . Snack bar with hot food, ice cream and drinks as part of the All Inclusive.
🛟Lifeguards across the hotel are so helpful. They bring you cushions for your sun loungers, help you get set up around the pool, always watching and making sure everyone is safe, friendly and happy. If you have a birthday celebration let them know and they will decorate your area with balloons etc ready for the next morning.
🥤🍹 Bar staff also super friendly , they bring you drinks around the pool to you, always around .
🎯🎤 Entertainment staff during the day put on aqua aerobics, water polo, darts , kids clubs, mini disco on a evening, entertainment on a night but I would say it’s more low key not noisy and loud as other destinations.
They also do a “pink party” , “blue party” around the pool during day (inflatables) and a weekly foam party on the beach.
Evening they also do a weekly “white party” (bring your white outfits!) with a fire show on the beach.
🧘♂️ SPA onsite as well as hairdressers and beauty treatments. My two teenage Sons had a full body massage for £25 each. Very good value . 🏋️They also went to the Gym in the mornings which had lovely views over the sea and plenty of equipment.
🍽️ Main buffet restaurant had a mixture of food including usual pizza, pasta dishes , salads , desserts they also had a theme night each evening such as Mexican, Italian, BBQ, Seafood, Egyptian as well as local dishes. Not massive but enough to find something you like.
Lunch is similar including a subway style sandwich station too.
Breakfast has show cooking such as fresh eggs of all kinds , pancakes, waffles , cereals, fruit, breads - something for everyone.
👨🍳 À la cartes including Asian, Indian, Italian, Stonegrill . We tried the Italian - the Fillet steak and Tiramasu was so nice ! Pizzas made fresh in front of you. We also visited the Stonegrill where we chose Steak, or Chefs special of Steak, Chicken & Shrimp cooked on the table on the stone.
What did we do there besides stay around the hotel?
🚌We chose to visit all of the main areas as above as well as outside of our hotel, we also had a fantastic trip into the desert which was so much fun! Riding our own Quad bikes through the desert (or can opt for a family buggy with one driver), stopped off for a camel ride, and again to watch a Egyptian show in the desert with a meal and ride back through the desert until sun went down- highly recommend, I can help advise who to book with and costs etc and timings. (The video attached is from the staff ).
🚤 Hired our own speedboat on the beach outside the hotel and also tried out some of the water sports. 🌊
🤿 🐠Snorkeling is a must in Egypt , we did this and it’s amazing! The colours and various types you will see is not to be missed. We did this off the pier outside our hotel as well as off the speedboat.
⚓️ You can also book boat trips to visit other reefs and White Island with snorkeling trips.
Diving is also popular here I’ve done this here before but not this time. Highly recommend.

🤔Tips I would give going here or what I did …..
💡Tip staff at the beginning that will bring you the thick sunbed cushions, the drinks to your sun lounger , they will look after you.
Tips were given in US Dollar 1 dollar bills, Egyptian Pounds , anything.
💡”Egypt Belly” … none of us had this. It’s hot weather , we didn’t leave the air con on freezing and instead had a mild temperature.
Used bottle water for teeth brushing etc no tap water . Usual hand wash and sanitise.
Some take probiotics before arriving. We also took electrolytes and popped them in bottle water . We had no problem.
💡Mosquitos. Again no bites for us. Take antihistamines before travelling if prone. I took the Lemon Shower gel with us and used before travel. Also mosquito spray or the braclets.
I bought Mosquito “zapper” and left plugged in the room - bought for a couple of pound online recommend these as shown in the pics.
💡Taxis are cheap. Hotel staff arranged this for us or you can use Indrive or Bolt app many used this.
💡 The pharmacy was very popular ! The place was very busy with Brits purchasing Antibiotics for a couple of pounds, anything really prescribed was very cheap over there .
💡 For some reason inflatables are pricey over there cheaper to take own. However everything else is cheap! Snorkling equipment couple of pound, clothing and souvenirs and meals out all very reasonable or cheap.
💡 Book your à la cartes when you get there via the screen near the restaurant. All menus are on there too.
💡 Getting a sunbed was never an issue! A fave spot next to a busy pool yes get up earlier otherwise the lifeguards will carry sunbeds to a spot for you and make sure you have somewhere whatever time of day it is.
💡 Weather. Yes it’s hot … personally after first day got used to it quickly, lots of pool dips, used factor 30 or 50 and staff kept you well hydrated and I used electrolytes too.
💡 Take the therma cups for them to put your cold drinks in . Keeps them ice cold don’t take the Stanley’s take some cheap ones . These did make a difference.
💡 Take a pen in your hand luggage to fill in the tourist cards on arrival. Also you don’t need a Visa for Sharm but you do need one if you’re visiting the pyramids. Again I can advise you on this.
