A little update from me… ✈️🌍

You may have noticed that things have been a little quiet over here recently…

But while I haven’t been posting, I definitely haven’t been standing still. 🤍

Behind the scenes, I’ve been busy researching destinations, building relationships and partnerships with suppliers, learning more about the incredible experiences available, and quietly helping with travel enquiries and putting together quotes.

Building something properly takes time, and I wanted to make sure I was creating something that I could genuinely be proud of and that allows me to offer the best possible options to my customers.

So, whilst social media may have been quiet… there has been plenty happening in the background! ✈️

Over the coming days, I’ll be sharing some exciting holiday ideas and packages to hopefully give you a little travel inspiration. 🌴☀️🏙️

🌍 The Moment I Realised I Needed to See the World…

A Throwback to 20-Year-Old Me & the Machu Picchu Trek

Before Melissa Sullivan Travel Solutions existed, there was just a 20-year-old girl saying “yes” to something completely outside her comfort zone… and it changed the entire direction of her life.

I volunteered to trek Machu Picchu for charity, and before the adventure even began, there were months filled with fundraising events, raffles, organising donations, all for a cause I cared about. But nothing could’ve prepared me for the actual experience.

I still remember arriving at the airport in the middle of the night…
Meeting a group of total strangers…
Knowing we’d be living side by side for over a week in hotels, tents, and on mountain trails. ✈️⛺

That week was unforgettable.
Breath-taking landscapes.
Quiet sunrises in the Andes.
Laughter echoing through campsites.
Moments that didn’t feel real because they were that beautiful.

Peru opened my eyes wider than they’d ever been. Somewhere along those trails, with a backpack digging into my shoulders and the most stunning views I’d ever seen… it clicked:

I needed a life that let me travel.
I needed to see more of the world, its people, its places, its stories.

That trek didn’t just change me; it shaped the path I’m on today. It taught me the value of experiences, connection, adventure, and what happens when you trust yourself enough to say yes.

Here’s to the moments that transform us, and the journeys still waiting.

One thing I never skip on holiday is a massage — it’s my way to slow down, recharge, and truly switch off. This week in Morocco, I treated myself to an Oriental massage with pockets of essential oils, and it was absolute bliss 🇲🇦💆‍♀️

🌙 Marrakech by Night — a city of sound, colour, and history. 🌙

There’s nothing quite like seeing Marrakech come alive after sunset. The Koutoubia Mosque glows across the skyline, the Royal Palace stands proud and peaceful, and the Jewish Quarter (Mellah) hums with stories from centuries past.

With a private guide leading the way, we wandered through the buzzing Medina — lanterns lighting the streets, food stalls sizzling, and music echoing through the night. It was hectic, loud, and absolutely unforgettable.

This city doesn’t just sparkle at night — it roars to life. 💫

We took to the skies at sunrise, soaring up to 600 metres high for breathtaking views across the Atlas Mountains and the Moroccan desert. The colours, the calm, and that golden morning light — absolutely unforgettable. 🌄

☀️ Sometimes you just need a best friend, a bit of sunshine, and zero responsibilities for a few days.

Life gets busy — work, family, a million tabs open in your head — so pressing pause and soaking up some Vitamin D feels like the ultimate reset. 🌴

We laughed too much, over-shared (as always), and remembered how good it feels to do nothing on purpose.
