Jody and her party of four sailed MSC Seascape from Galveston in the Yacht Club, seven nights to Costa Maya, Roatan and Cozumel, with three nights in Galveston first. She's shared the practical bits that are hard to find out from the UK: getting from Houston to the port, what the transfers cost, and her top tip for eating out in the US (add around 30% to the bill for tax and tips).

When her first hotel didn't look right, one call to Leanne and it was sorted.

🐻 A bear catching salmon, whales right beside the boat and an Alaska cruise the whole family loved! 🐋

Jana and her family have recently returned from an incredible Alaska holiday onboard MSC Poesia, and they’ve shared their experience with us.

Travelling with two teenagers, aged 14 and 16, they spent a couple of nights exploring Seattle before heading off to Alaska.

And they certainly had some memorable wildlife encounters!

In Ketchikan, a walk along Creek Street led to an unexpected sighting of a bear fishing for salmon. Then, on a whale watching excursion at Icy Strait Point, they followed an orca before finding themselves surrounded by whales coming right up close to the boat.

Jana has also shared what they thought of MSC Poesia, their interconnecting Aurea cabins, the excursions and what it’s really like cruising Alaska as a family.

Her advice to anyone considering Alaska?

“If you are considering it, book it.”
