Come and have some family fun in the woods, build dens, play in the mud pit, try and spot some wildlife and learn some new skills with our trained Forest School Leader Kate.

£12.50 per child (one adult free per child).
£5 per extra adult.
Under 2's free with a paying child.

Have you booked your staycation yet for the Summer? We still have some availability over July/August (although limited) if you would like to come and visit us here at Lakewood Cottages.

Lakewood Cottages are four self-catering holiday cottages nestled by our own private lake and woodland. We can be found between the historic city of Lancaster and market town of Garstang which makes it easy to explore the attractions within Lancashire, The Lake District, Yorkshire Dales, The Forest of Bowland, Fylde Coast and Morecambe Bay.

Lakewood Cottages is the perfect place to relax and explore with access to our summer house, fire pit area and walks and cycle routes from the door, including the Lancaster canal. If you come and stay at our Stable Cottage you will also have exclusive access to the hot tub and private patio.

An EV charger is also available at a small charge per vehicle.
Sorry no pets. No smoking.

‼️CANCELLED 14th June 2025‼️
Unfortunately due to the current weather warning for thunderstorms tomorrow we have taken the decision to cancel our Forest Family Stay & Play session.

Our top priority is to ensure the safety of our families visiting us and we feel this is the best decision in this circumstance.

All those booked will have received an email from [email protected] with ticket options/refund details so please check your inbox/junk folders.

We hope to see you all very soon.
