This is South Africa at its most captivating: city energy, coastal wonder, ancient wilderness and open bush, all within a single, well-paced journey.
South Africa rewards those who take the time to travel through it slowly. This 10-night holiday does exactly that, moving through three of the country's most compelling chapters in a single, seamlessly guided holiday. It begins in Cape Town, one of the world's great cities, where three nights give you the space to breathe, explore and settle in. From there, a fully guided five-night Garden Route journey takes you through some of the most varied and beautiful landscapes in southern Africa, from the Cango Caves to the Knysna Lagoon, Tsitsikamma's ancient forests to the wildlife sanctuaries of Plettenberg Bay. The journey ends in the malaria-free Eastern Cape, where two nights at the intimate Hlosi Game Lodge on the Amakhala Private Game Reserve bring you face to face with the Big Five.
