Sadly the decision has had to be made to cancel this Sunday’s Sunday Supplement market 😞

The predicted wind gust speeds have been rising over the last couple of days, and they now greatly exceed the safety levels in which we can operate 😞

We take very seriously the safety of our visitors, traders and market staff and would hate to see anyone get hurt.

We’ll get on with organising July’s market and hope to see you all then.

Are you ready for a big adventure? 🦘

There’s something amiss across the Staffordshire Moorlands... Let’s hop, we mean hope it’s nothing too out of the ordinary.

Eyes open and furry ears to the ground, something is bouncing into the Moorlands over Summer so you best get ready to spring to action! W marks the spot.

With the Nicholson Museum & Art Gallery in Leek closed for refurbishment, its most curious resident, a wallaby once found roaming the wild moors, has inspired this new outdoor adventure!

In partnership with Peak Wildlife Park, Wild in Art (Creating Public Art Trails including Shaun the Sheep at Trentham and the Manchester Bees in the city) and OUTSIDE, it’s set to be spectacular Summer trail! ☀️

-----

We’re looking for 10 Artists and 10 Community Groups to co-design an amazing Wallaby statue. See the links below for more information & to apply! 🦘

It’s that time of year again! The Argent and Sable moth — a rare day-flying moth — could be spotted fluttering in the woodland glades and rides at RSPB Coombes Valley and Consall Woods
Unusual for moths, these striking black-and-white beauties are active during the day. They’re especially drawn to areas with young birch saplings, which provide food for their caterpillars.
🌳 Where to look: Sunny clearings, woodland edges, and anywhere young birch is thriving.
If you're lucky enough to see one, let us know — and enjoy this special sign of a healthy woodland habitat!

Staffordshire Moorlands Tourism

We are the official tourist information channel, that includes the three towns of Cheadle, Biddulph and Leek, covering the amazing and diverse landscape that makes up the district area of The Staffordshire Moorlands. Located in the north of the county of Staffordshire, part of the moorlands is located within The Peak District National Park.
