Great news from City Centre policing

💬 “Come back to our city centre and see the difference…”
On Saturday, during activity, one city centre resident shared this feedback with the force:

“As a city centre resident, I’ve really seen the difference the police have made over the last two years. We were badly affected by e-scooters and open drug use, but then I started to see more officers out and about. Wherever I went, there were police taking action.

"I saw bikes being seized, stop searches and arrests, and it felt like things changed almost overnight. The problems reduced and you felt comfortable walking around the city centre again.
To see it happening first-hand on Saturday was fantastic. Officers took the time to explain what they’d achieved in just a couple of hours - it was great to hear.

"I know some people still don’t feel safe based on past experiences, but I would say come back and see the difference for yourself.
Do I feel safe? Absolutely.
Do I feel comfortable speaking to officers? Absolutely.
Thank you Leicester City Police - you’re doing fantastic work.”

Feedback like this means a lot to our officers and staff. 💙
