Respitality in Fife would like to thank Pequeños Tesoros en Escocia / Little Scottish Treasures for donating a full-day luxury tour, which was enjoyed by a carer and their family. The carer was given the opportunity to choose from a range of destinations, experiencing a bespoke day out in the comfort of the tour company’s private vehicle.

The carer reported that after the trip, they “felt like a whole new person. We were treated like popstars. This was a fab day out (we were treated so kindly and nothing was too much trouble).”

We asked Little Scottish Treasures why they wanted to support Respitality in Fife by donating. They said: “Although committed to providing high-end luxury tours for foreign visitors to Scotland, we at Little Scottish Treasures understand the importance of being part of a caring community. Using local businesses, arranging litter picking or providing the occasional day out for those who truly deserve it, this is all part of who we are about, and we hope to inspire others too.”

Today marks the opening of the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, as 74 countries and over 3000 top athletes meet to compete in a range of sports. Often referred to as the 'Friendly Games', this will bring together the countries who make up the Commonwealth of Nations.

The games will run from July the 23rd to August 2nd, so if you find yourself in Glasgow during this period, why not grab a ticket to one of the venues for something a little different during your vacation.

And yes, our mascot is a Unicorn called Finnie.

After slacking for a while and concentrating on the tours, I feel like I am neglecting everyone on Facebook.

I must make more posts and write about some of the thousands of Little Treasures we have researched over the years.

Today we spent some time at Aros Castle on Mull, it's worth a short visit and feels like intering a jungle for those under 6' tall.

Occasionally a tour does not go according to plan, often by events out with anyone's control.

When this happens you can be assured that the Little Scottish Treasures team will spring to action, no matter what changes are required to make your vacation magical.

This week seen a ferry cancellation to start with and then no landing available on the Staffa, but ferry cancellations, hurricanes, medical issues or any other inconvenience will see our team do everything we can to ensure the tour is everything you expected and more.

This is another great reason for going private, with an independent Scottish tour company who know how to take care of anything unexpected.

Going to Clava Cairns?

A visit to Clava Cairns is a chance to see and touch something very, very old, but nearby there is a Little Treasure that is certainly new to us.

At Clava the Culloden Viaduct dominates the landscape and the best place to view it is a wee junction just past the turning for the Cairns. At this junction you will see a box, open it and you will be introduced to bags produced by a couple of young local entrepreneurs who are selling a little taste of Scotland at their Honesty Shop.

Keyring, Little Highland Cow, Snack & a Bottle of Scotland's Second National Drink, no complaints here ☺.

The bluebells are starting to flower in pockets, soon whole forest floors will be awash with them.

This beautiful moment does not last long, so we will enjoy it while it's here.

A day off touring means a day in the office... Oh no, not when the weather is this good.

So today we decided to grab two of our guides, Iain and Dave. Then the four of us went exploring, while sharing stories and laughs... Office work can wait, this was a day for all four of us to learn from each other.

Staying at the top of your game means sharing stories, revisiting locations and learning something new about this fantastic wee country every day.
