Fantastic day on yesterday’s tours marking the release of Paul’s new album ‘Boys of Dungeon Lane’ - meeting ‘Paul’ on Forthlin Rd and also having the pleasure of having the former Mission Director and Development Officer at Strawberry Field and their family on my tour, such a highly respectful and wonderful job they did during their tenure there. Pleasantly surprised to see myself in a little cameo on tonight’s BBC Documentary about Paul’s lost bass guitar.. I remember the day very well last year when I seen the bass go into the house on Forthlin Road during my tour where Paul’s younger brother Mike was inside filming the documentary. Little did I know the cameras were rolling inside veering outside to my tour standing outside. It’s a great story about Paul’s Hofner bass that went missing over 50 years ago recently found and now back in the right hands….or should I say left hand…

What an amazing day we had on my tour today. At 2.50pm we were on our way towards Paul’s via Strawberry Field, and we stopped and listened to Paul’s new song on our local radio station, you could hear a pin drop as everyone listened and was emotionally captivated by the song being played for the very first time, the global premiere. Paul wanted the song to be played in Liverpool before anywhere else. Very poignant for myself too as he mentions Forthlin Road in the lyrics, where I was also brought up as a very young child and my family lived there for 19 years. A special day I’ll never leave behind for sure.
