You may have seen lots of headlines recently about the new ETIAS (European Travel Information and Authorisation System) required for travel to Europe. Hereโ€™s a quick, clear update to cut through the noise:

๐Ÿ“… ETIAS has been delayed once again and is now expected to launch at the end of 2026.
โณ Once introduced, there will be a 6-month grace period before it becomes mandatory.
๐Ÿ’ถ The fee was initially set at โ‚ฌ7 back in 2018, so the anticipated increase to โ‚ฌ20 is not surprising after nearly a decade.
๐Ÿ—“๏ธ Your ETIAS will be valid for 3 years, making it a cost-effective travel requirement compared to similar systems elsewhere.
๐Ÿ‘ถ Children under 18 and adults over 70 will not need to pay for an ETIAS, and EU citizens are exempt altogether.

The media buzz may be overwhelming, but thereโ€™s no need to panicโ€”just stay informed and be ready when the time comes!
