Hi! My name is Anna and I am one of the the original Daytripper tour guides. I started about 8 years ago and have continued to work as a guide since.

I work with an amazing team, all of which are friends and our boss Hannah is just boss. I love spending time in the countryside out of the classroom.

My favourite trip is the Lake District as it is so beautiful and calming. I have worked in education most of my life and am a full science time teacher in the week so Daytripper really helps me unwind, make friends and exercise. It honestly does not feel like a job!

People think I’m crazy that I work weekends sometimes but I love working as a lead guide, as it’s basically what I do as a teacher so I find the role really enjoyable!

My hobbies include working out, salsa and dancing and my little cat Shadow is my life as I tell everyone I meet🤣

What a beautiful day today on our trip to Anglesey and Snowdonia! We learned some Welsh, saw some spectacular scenery, ate some treats and met new friends 🙂

What better way to round off this week of glorious sunshine than a day in the wonderful Yorkshire?

Today we’ve been on a hike up to Malham Cove ☀️ a short but sweet stop in Skipton 🐑 topped off by a visit to the stunning ruins of Bolton Abbey 😍

This is what happens when 13 nationalities come together on an adventure to see the British countryside! Thank you so much to all those who came along today, we hope you’ll be back 😊

Hello! I am Cristina!

I was born in Brazil, raised by a Portuguese family, lived in Mexico and United States. I’ve been living for more than 7 years in the UK, and so blessed for having Daytripper as a local family.

I’m an internationally minded humanist who loves connecting with people, learning about different cultures, and sharing stories. Feels as though I am an eternal apprentice of life, who loves learning different things! It is common to see me singing ( no talent for it at all! 🤭) or dancing around.

Education is my passion. I’ve worked in formal and non formal education as a teacher, with community and cultural projects, academic research, and of course, as a tour guide!!

My favourite trip is York, because the city allows us to travel back, making us imagine how was living in Roman and Viking times. Also, the Lake District where we can connect to nature and get overwhelmed by the breathtaking natural scenery.
