🔧 Part-Time Handyman Wanted 🔧

We are looking for a reliable and practical Handyman / Maintenance Person to join our small, friendly 23-bed residential care home for elderly residents.

This role helps us keep our home safe, comfortable and well maintained for both residents and staff.

Hours:
Approximately 20 hours per week
Ideally 9am – 1pm, Monday to Friday, but we can be flexible for the right person.

Duties may include:
• General DIY and maintenance
• Small repairs and decorating
• Basic plumbing / carpentry tasks
• Maintaining the building and outdoor areas
• Carrying out routine checks and reporting issues

We are looking for someone who is reliable, practical, friendly and able to work independently.

An Enhanced DBS check will be required for this role.

📣 WE ARE HIRING 📣 - PLEASE SHARE

We are looking for a special person to join our lovely care home in Aigburth as an Activities Co-ordinator.

Our home is a 23 bed care home for older people, full of wonderful residents who are in need of more stimulation, company and laughter.

This role is not really about qualifications or experience it is about personality. We are looking for someone confident, bubbly and happy who enjoys chatting, encouraging people and lifting moods. Sometimes the most important skill is simply being you❤️

Social media skills would be an advantage (as you can tell!🙈)

We need someone who can gently motivate residents to take part in activities, whether that is games, music, crafts, quizzes, dancing or simply spending quality time together.

Our care staff do an amazing job, but due to the hands on care tasks they do not always have the time to dedicate to activities. That is where you would come in and make a real difference to people's days.

The hours would ideally be 1pm to 5pm, 20 hours per week, although we can be flexible for the right person.

We were delighted to welcome Father Christmas to the home recently 🎄❤️ Our residents thoroughly enjoyed the visit, sharing smiles, festive cheer, and Christmas memories. A very special thank you to Jo, our previous Activities Coordinator, who kindly organised the visit even though she has left— it means so much to us that she still visits and cares for our residents ❤️

Our residents had a wonderful time last week enjoying the annual visit from the Cumbria Girls’ School Choir 🎶💙 Such a joyful afternoon — thank you for coming to sing for us!

We had some very special visitors at the home on Friday 🐴💛 Our residents absolutely loved meeting the ponies — and just look at the tiny trainers they wear! ❤️ There were lots of smiles, gentle cuddles and happy memories made

We had a lovely Christmas party today 🎄✨ Everyone had a wonderful time, full of smiles, music, and festive cheer. A big thank you to Vanessa, our fantastic singer, who made the afternoon extra special!

Hello everyone! 👋

It’s taken us a little while to update our social media — we’ve been busy settling in and focusing on getting to know our wonderful residents, their families and our fantastic team. ❤️

As many of you know as of 22nd July Ranelagh Care Home Ltd has proudly taken over ownership of Ranelagh House - our Manager and staff team remain the same ✅

Ranelagh House is the 14th home in our portfolio and we are delighted with this acquisition.

We’re excited about what’s ahead and look forward to sharing more updates, photos and stories from daily life here at Ranelagh House

Thank you for your ongoing support and for everyone who has made us feel so welcome— we can’t wait to grow together in this next chapter!
