The electrician arrives tomorrow to finish the last few bits in oak Lodge, so the range cooker will be installed. The light covers fixed, the smoke alarms connected etc. All painting, silicone finished. Just a few bits to sort out in the kitchen. Some bits to finish outside , furniture is now in the lodge as is all the main appliances. We went for good quality white goods, another gantry hoist has been ordered, lots of fixed grab rails and drop down rails being installed as well. Oak Lodge will offer much more equipment for more specialist assistance for people with more severe disabilities. Please follow us at midwaleslodges.co.uk cheers Richard

Some pictures of oak Lodge, it's nearly finished, first guests arriving later this month . The silicone is done in the bathrooms, kitchen and utility room. The main appliances arrived last night. It's all happening now.

The shower trolley arrived today, so i was doing a bit of a demonstration 🤣🤣🤣🤣, I know i look fat but it's because I fell out of the sky and crushed all my discs in my back. On the plus side I am 3 inches shorter and fit better in the shower trolley. This is the latest piece of equipment to arrive, earlier we had the grab rails [25] and awaiting the drop rails, a fully electric hoist is on its way, we hope. The 4 th profiling bed arrived the other day and another upright shower wheel chair. Follow for the latest action 🎬 cheers Richard midwaleslodges.co.uk

What an amazing review from the guests that left on Sunday, they are already booked in for the summer holidays, this is what an accessible accommodation means for people with disabilities. It means they are included without feeling awkward because the accommodation is designed and built to be accessible and with the equipment, usable. All society should do this, it's not clever, it's compassion, it's thought for others.
So to those that read this, spread the word , accessibility is a common right not a privilege.

Well another milestone reached for oak Lodge, the boiler is now fully operational, we are one step closer to opening next month at some point. Also our shower trolley arrives Monday, the air flow mattress arrived on Thursday. Another upright shower wheel chair arrived yesterday plus Another profiling bed. Lots more fixed equipment for oak Lodge arriving shortly. Grab rails, drop down rails in the bathrooms.
