"Per cabin" confuses a lot of people the first time they hear it, so here's what it actually means.

You're not renting a cabin on someone else's charter, and you're not chartering a whole boat by yourself either. You book one private cabin, on a catamaran with a professional captain and chef, and two to four other cabins are booked by other guests — usually couples, pairs of friends, or solo travellers. Same boat, same crew, same route for everyone aboard, just split across separate cabins instead of one person paying for the entire yacht.

The price is per cabin too, not per person. A cabin can accommodate a couple.

That's the whole idea: the experience of a private charter, without needing to fill the whole boat or pay for it alone.

The typical guest booking through us is between 50 and 80 years old, and every part of how we run these trips reflects that.

A licensed captain is aboard specifically to help guests move safely around the boat — getting in and out of the dinghy, and an itinerary built around the group on-board, all the small details are taken into consideration. It's not something you have to ask for. It's built into every trip, for every guest, from the first day to the last.

Nobody's rushed off a swim ladder. Nobody's expected to manage a boat on their own. Safety and comfort come first, quietly, in the background of every single day.

The food is one of the things people are least prepared to be impressed by.

There's a low bar in most people's heads for what "included meals" on a boat actually means. Then a plate comes out — fresh, properly seasoned, and a well balanced meal plan throughout the week — it resets the whole week's expectations.

Every meal is planned around your chef's own menu, but never around your restrictions. Vegetarian, gluten-free, allergies, a genuine dislike of seafood after a lifetime of being served it politely — none of it is an inconvenience. Your preferences are collected before you board, and the chef simply plans around them, the same way they'd plan around anyone else's.

Nobody comes back from a week like this talking about how they made do. They rave about the food.

A hotel in the BVI gives you a room and a view. It doesn't give you the BVI.

Most of what's actually worth seeing here isn't reachable from a hotel balcony. The best snorkelling, the quiet beaches, the coves a car can't get to — all of it means getting out on the water, which from a hotel usually means researching and booking a different excursion for every single day, hoping each operator is reputable and each trip is actually worth the money.

On a sailing trip, that's not a decision you have to keep making. Every day is already a different part of the BVI, chosen by a crew who know these waters properly — which anchorages are calm, which reefs are worth the swim, when conditions mean the plan needs to change for safety. You're not booking excursions each morning. You're already on one, every day, without having organised any of it yourself.

That's the real difference between the two. A hotel gives you a base to plan a week from. This gives you the week already decided, so the only thing left to do is enjoy it.
