Day four of our Austria tour and the scenic tour today in glorious sunshine.
Heading out over the Gerlos Pass to the Krimml Waterfall and onto Zell em Zee for the afternoon.
The scenery and route certainly tested Andy today and he thoroughly enjoyed the challenge.

Julie also enjoyed service with glorious views from the kitchen window.

The Gerlos Pass is a scenic mountain pass in the Austrian Alps standing at an elevation of 1,531 meters (5,023 feet). It serves as a vital alpine connection between the Oberpinzgau region in the state of Salzburg and the Zillertal valley. The Krimml Waterfalls with a total height of 380 metres (1,247 feet), are the highest waterfall in Austria.

Our first full day in the Austrian Tirol and a short drive to Niederau for a cable car ride to the summit. The weather was cloudy first thing but cleared up to some amazing views. We include the Wildschonau pass on this tour offering more attractions in the area to our clients.

Excellent run down to Oberau in Austria with an overnight at the Bawelsberger Hof in Dillingen.

Julie ensured our clients were kept refreshed throughout the journey and a sterling job she did too.

Our clients finally arrived at 4pm local time to settle in at the impressive Tirolerhof Hotel in Oberau in the upper Tyrol.

Oberau, in Austria, is a large resort with 25 lifts (3 chair lifts, 20 surface lifts) but it only has 264 metres (866 feet) of vertical descent.

Today we travelled to Tiverton with our clients for them to enjoy a scenic trip on the horse drawn barge.

Steve prefers a different type of horse power with a foot pedal!

The Tivertonian is a wide-beam, 75-seater passenger barge decorated with traditional "roses and castles" canal art. [The barge moves at a peaceful, historic pace of about 2 to 2.5 miles per hour. Commercial horse-drawn barges operated on the Grand Western Canal for 130 years—primarily hauling limestone from Westleigh quarries to Tiverton kilns—until the early 1920s. The modern tourist passenger trips on the Tivertonian officially began on July 13, 1974.

National Guide Dog Centre enjoyed by our clients to understand the long process of training our Guide Dogs from Puppies.

Puppy raising begins when puppies go to live with volunteer fosterers at a few months old they only retire typically when the dogs reach eight to ten years of age. When selecting they avoids names that sound like obedience commands (like "Neil" and "heel").

Lovely day at Chatsworth including the Country Fair with an array of activities and attractions for our clients to experience, even the Red Arrows made an appearance today.
