A great booking to finish the month - Japan at Cherry Blossom Time.
One of the most popular long haul desinations in 2025 so far has been Japan and none so busier than at Cherry Blossom Time March 2026.
My client brought me a quote for a Japan trip that they were looking at and to go at the most expensive time to Japan.
Whilst money wasn't the issue, he wanted to be in a more controlling itinerary than an off the shelf tour, adding business class flights and private transfers with bullet trains, and to see if I could enhance and make any saving.
This type of tour is right up my street and I went about it as methodically as I normally do. Taking the brief, the highlights they wanted to incur, and the pace of the trip, very important first stage.
Having visited Japan on many occaisions, its always better to have that knowledge on the ground, to advise and navigate potential travellers through what is a fantastic country to visit, but language may be a challenge in some places.
Welll connected by rail, there are many options and if you have the time to stop and go about as you want and don't just want a wam bam thank you mam, whistle stop, controlled by schedules, type off the shelf tour - Then a self guided tour, with less, packing and unpacking, although daunting to some, might suit you better.
I am able to put together, flights, transfers, hotels, transport, excursions, all the main points on one ticket and you take care of the rest.
In particular, this trip, my clients didn't want to be on the go all the time. So I arranged 5 nights in Tokyo, from here they could view the city and surroundng area, take in a Sumo wrestling night, visit, Mount Fuji and take in Cherry Blossom Time on route.
Then on to Kiyoto for a culture wher tradition still holds with a Tea Ceremony and walk in the Geisha District.
Including Kiyoto as a base, allows you to visit, Osaka and Nara National Park and to take a day trip to Hiroshima & Miyajima Island, all by famous Bullet Train. Maybe a visit to one of the many Unesco sites, nearby.
Finally on the way back from Japan a 3 night stop-over in Hong Kong at Kowloon Bay, to enjoy the sites, sounds & smells of what was a former British Colony. All done in 4*/5* hotels with business class flights.
If this or any other destination appeals to you and you would like a less formal, but coordinated tour in a far and distant land. Where your on your own, but not left alone (I'm there in the wings), at the end of a phone call or message. Then get in contact https://philipburrluck.notjusttravel.com
