Is this the best way you can spend a morning in the Alps?!

I've stayed at the fantastic Blu Radisson in Andermatt a few times now and it really is the perfect location if you plan on exploring the best passes in Switzerland.

Fancy an early start? Get up early and run this route Clockwise, catch the sunrise at the top of the Furka, head back to base for breakfast, and then run it Anti-Clockwise for a completely different experience.

Having a little play this morning on the MIVIA route planner and I created this amazing Black Forest run in less than 3 minutes!

This trip is 3 hours 43 minutes driving and roughly 142 miles.

You start in Baden-Baden, pass through some amazing places including Triberg and Schluchsee, and finish in Waldshut.

There’s plenty of fuel and food stops and of course lots do see and do that will make this trip an amazing day out.

Hi I’m Simon and I’m the Founder of MIVIA.

I’ve been travelling across Europe for nearly 10 years now and I’ve been lucky enough to see and drive some of the most amazing roads it has to offer.

This picture was taken recently at the top of the Colle Del Nivolet, and (aside from the hat!) I’m sure you’ll agree, the view is breathtaking.

A few years ago I set out building an app that would inspire others, and make it easy for them to experience some of the beautiful roads, routes and views I have been lucky enough to see, drive and enjoy.

This page is for everyone interested in road trips, from people that have the itch but haven’t scratched it yet, to experienced road trippers looking for a better way to plan and navigate on their next adventure, and everything in between.

It doesn’t matter what you ride or drive, what your budget is, where you’re going or who you’re going with, my goal is to inspire and encourage as many people to get out there and enjoy it!
