Honeyguide Wildlife Holidays

Honeyguide Wildlife Holidays Honeyguide has run natural history holidays for more than 30 years, mostly in Europe and also in Africa.

All-round natural history holidays, tailored to get the best out of the wildlife of each area, going at a relaxed pace, usually staying at one place and using the best of leaders, with extensive conservation knowledge, natural history skills, good experience of the local area and the right personal skills. Holidays that are designed to benefit you, wildlife and the local people whose services we use and include a £40 contribution from each participant to wildlife conservation in the area.

An addition to this collection, having borrowed a set of photos from Honeyguider Ann Greenizan. The top two add to the Col du Tourmalet collage: a poster for the Tour de France that arrived 2½ weeks after we left, and a busy scene where cyclists take selfies by an iconic cycle statue.

The butterflies are large wall brown and purple-edged copper.

The lizard is a good fit for Pyrenean rock lizard, which Ann photographed at Troumouse. The generally dark back is typical, the dark green appearance is iridescence, which can appear from certain angles; dark spots (like on this one) can occur.
