We came across this Grey Seal the other day that had caught a huge fish in the Corryvreckan! This sequence of photos shows the seal peeling the scales off the body of the fish to get to the tasty parts within! We believe this is a Common Ling a deep water species known to inhabit the Corryvreckan. It was amazing to see how the seal used its flippers to grab the fish. It gave us quite the side-eye to make sure we weren't going to steal its catch of the day!!

August has been a good month for seeing minke whales in our area & on the Iona-Staffa trips! With 4 out of 5 trips yesterday spotting a minke, it seems right to share some wonderful photos/ video's with you!

Here at Seafari we know a lot of you are on holiday with your family and other animals. Wildlife boat tours are great for humans but less so for dogs, which is why we can arrange to mind them for you!
Give us a call or email to discuss and your hairy friends can sit with us in our office partition - beds or crates a bonus - until you return.

Please enjoy 40 magical seconds of a tiny baby bottlenose dolphin & it's pod that came to share their joy with us today! This type of encounter is very rare & was led by the dolphins, skipper Keiron was very carefully moving slowly, not pointing the boat directly at the dolphins. Rachel our marine mammal scientist just about kept it together in the face of such cuteness!
