There is a very specific kind of Canonteign visit that starts with:
“We are only popping in for a coffee.”
And then somehow there is a little look in the shop.
And someone says, “Actually, this is a nice, isn’t it?”

A gentle reminder that you do not need an admission ticket to visit Canonteign Café or the shop.

So if you are local, meeting a friend, catching up with family, or just need a coffee somewhere that does not involve fluorescent lighting and a trolley situation, you are very welcome.

The café and shop are free to enter, with free parking too.

7pm outside the church, then to the Arts Centre at 7.30pm

A rare performance by the Ashburton campanologists plus a great group of singers celebrating 75 years of Dartmoor National Park

Spend a celebratory evening with York’s best-established a capella group, The Barberellas, to mark the 75th anniversary of Dartmoor National Park. From folk to jazz, Eva Cassidy to Mama Cass, and their own songs telling the stories of their own connections to nature and community. Five women, five voices – nothing more is needed.

🎉 We had the best day at the Picnic in the Park celebrating the 50th birthday of ! 🎈

From dog shows and dancing to martial arts displays and zip wires, there was truly something for everyone. There was even the biggest game of pass the parcel we’ve ever seen! 🎁

O was delighted to receive the final (50th!) party bag of the day, while H somehow managed to squeeze in a nap despite all the excitement and noise! 😴

A perfect day of family fun and fantastic memories. Happy 50th birthday, River Dart Country Park! 🎂🎉

Did you know you don’t have to climb the waterfall at Canonteign Falls to have the best day out? ✨

Today we enjoyed a lovely accessible walk with a pram, fed the ducks, had lunch, played in the parks, got creative with arts & crafts, and finished the day with ice cream 🍦
