Sink into one of 30 characterful rooms at at Combe, where the beds are so good you might just cancel your plans for the day.

But when you do emerge - a lively bar stocked with local spirits, two potting shed treatment rooms, and a restaurant built around a stunning Kitchen Garden are waiting for you.

This is proper Devon living - unhurried, rooted and really rather good.

East Devon on foot. There’s nowhere quite like it.

With National Walking Month in full swing, we’re shining a light on three of our favourite routes right here in the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Whether you’re after a coastal challenge, a gentle riverside amble or a sweeping clifftop trail, East Devon delivers.

🥾 Otterton and River Otter Circular A gem of a route starting at the beloved Otterton Mill, winding through farmland and out to the coast path, with spectacular views across Chiselbury Bay and Ladram Bay. Finish with a coffee at the Mill.
📍 Otterton EX9 7HG | Approx 7.5 miles | Dog friendly

🥾 Seaton to Beer Head Named one of the best wildflower walks in the UK for 2025, this coastal trail traces chalk cliffs, grassland and coastal verges bursting with colour at this time of year. The views back towards Beer are simply stunning.
📍 Seaton seafront | 6.7 miles | Moderate

🥾 Woodbury Common Circular Start at an Iron Age hill fort, sweep across open heathland and drop down into the pretty village of Woodbury. A classic East Devon walk that never disappoints.
📍 Woodbury Common car park | 4.5 miles | Suitable for most abilities

Three walks. One incredible corner of Devon. Which one are you tackling this month?

Happy Birthday Andrewshayes Holiday Park ❤️

Let's start reminiscing about Andrewshayes!
Do you know who's in the old picture, if so you might have a guess at when it was taken!
Clues: her brother is nearly 10 years older than her and she was the second to last year group to take O'levels!)
Were you or your family visiting back then?
We will post a series of these Now and Then scenes so if you have any old photos to contribute please email them to us.

There’s a reason Ladram Bay keeps people coming back. 🧡

Tucked into the Jurassic Coast between Sidmouth and Budleigh Salterton, this award-winning holiday park has its very own private beach… and what a beach it is. Towering above the water are ancient red sandstone sea stacks, formed over 220 million years ago when East Devon was a hot desert landscape. The dramatic crimson colour is iron oxide (essentially, the rocks are rusting!) 🪨✨

It’s one of the most spectacular spots on the entire Jurassic Coast, and staying at Ladram Bay means you get it almost to yourself.

Perfect for rockpooling, kayaking, or simply sitting with the waves 🌊
