I had a lovely catch up on Friday
to hear all about customers Canadian adventure, and their photos are absolutely spectacular.
They wanted to experience the majesty of the Rockies with very little driving and without joining an escorted tour, so we created a fully independent route that still felt effortless from start to finish.
🐋Their journey began on Vancouver Island with a car to explore charming Victoria, before heading across to Ucluelet to soak up those wild Pacific Ocean views. They then dropped the car back and continued on the ferry to vibrant Vancouver, discovering Grouse mountain, waterfront walks, fantastic dining and city sights.
🚞One highlight of the trip was boarding VIA Rail to Jasper for the full overnight train experience: comfortable beds, lovely service and, most importantly, ever‑changing mountain and forest scenery right outside their window.
⛰️Stays in Jasper, Lake Louise and Banff followed, each one bringing another “wow” moment: mirror‑still turquoise lakes, soaring peaks and that crisp alpine air.
🐻Along the way they were treated to unforgettable wildlife encounters, spotting whales, bears, elk and much more, before ending in Calgary to fly home with cameras (and hearts) full.

Well the reel says it, so I must need to go! It’s Japan for me… I’m not complaining! ❄️🎎

Think powder-soft snow for skiers, steaming onsens, cosy ryokans and that magical moment when the very first cherry blossoms start to appear. I’ve booked customers to ski in Japan and they loved it. ⛷️ Japan really is incredible in winter, whether you’re skiing by day or soaking in hot springs by night.

I’ve had more fabulous photos from a lovely customer’s trip, and I just thought I’d share a little of their story…

This lovely family have just returned from an unforgettable adventure in Vietnam:
Starting in the buzzing streets of Hanoi, sailing through the emerald waters of Ha Long Bay, soaking up the stunning scenery of Ninh Binh and finishing in the lantern-lit magic of Hoi An for some beach time.

Their two young boys, aged 12 and 9, absolutely threw themselves into every moment: trying new foods, exploring temples, cruising between limestone karsts and really immersing themselves in the local culture.
These are the kinds of journeys that spark curiosity, build confidence and create memories to last a lifetime.
A huge thank you to this lovely family for sharing their special photos with me and for trusting me to help create such a meaningful trip for them. It truly love being able to play a part in holidays like this.

🇬🇷Chania - I loved it! ❤️

All inclusive or B&B: which is right for your next escape? 🤔

All inclusive absolutely has its place and can be a brilliant option, especially for multi-generational getaways or family holidays. No splitting bills or worrying about the ‘extras’ at the end, just time to relax and enjoy being together.

But for couples or families wanting to explore, I often suggest looking at B&B, because it can offer so many extra benefits:

- The lovely, relaxed start to the day with breakfast taken care of.
- Freedom to wander out in the evenings and discover local tavernas, bars and little hidden-gem restaurants.
- Often a more authentic way to travel.
- You can be more spontaneous: stay out longer on a day trip, book that amazing restaurant you spot, or grab sunset cocktails somewhere with a view, without feeling you “should” be back at the hotel for dinner.
- It is often better value: if you like to get out and about, hiring a car or using local transport, B&B stops you paying for meals and drinks you’re not around to enjoy.
- It also helps the local communities, as the money spent and about stays in the local economy.

There is no one-size-fits-all answer: it really does depend on the type of trip you are taking and who you are travelling with. It’s time to head home after a fab week! ☹️☀️

I’ve obviously packed the sun for you all but just incase it doesn’t make it back with us , why not give me a call or drop me a message and we can get planning your escape to the sun!

We’ve used Exeter this time, so we’ve spent a day in the sun, it’s almost 6pm and assuming everything runs near to time, I’ll be in my own bed by midnight! That’s a day well spent! 😉☀️

Last full day here in Crete is part work - part compromise!! ⛳️

I’ve been on a couple of hotel visits, so we compromised on a round of golf! (Not me - I just caddy badly!)

The plus point is we get to visit the hotel that is home to the Crete Golf Club, so I can also check out what it has to offer. 😉

I have a number of golf clients and as the only 18 hole championship course ⛳️on the island, I’m taking the chance to check it out. If the golfers in the family or group need help to negotiate a round, there is a water park next door to keep the non-golfers happy!! 💦

5 holes done and the views are stunning (I still think golf is a good walk ruined but I love driving the buggy! 😂 )

🇬🇷Happy Sunday everybody!

My travel desk has been working remotely this week. I’m enjoying a few days on the stunning island of Crete, with my boy, before his busy summer properly gets started!

I’ve managed to fit in a couple of hotel visits near Chania (look out for my posts in the coming days!) and of course, I’ve still been looking after my lovely customers travelling in:

Although I have deliberately not started any new enquiries for later in the year, I am working on a lovely September trip for my valued repeat customers, looking for a twin centre option in the Med. I have also managed to help a few people get away in the next few weeks and take advantage of some fabulous prices to Biarritz, Rhodes and Majorca.

Last night I booked a very last minute trip for a friend’s daughter and partner, on her first holiday without her family. It even came in under their budget! 😉. It’s with a well known tour operator but she has the advantage of my support and still for the same as the online price! A no brainer in my eyes!

I will be back at my ‘normal’ desk on Wednesday but if you have anything you want me to start thinking about - drop me a message and I will start pondering.
