We're proud to support opportunities for young people from the Isles of Scilly to represent their community beyond the islands.

This summer, Five Islands Academy's U13 and U15 football teams travelled to the mainland to take part in the Biscovey tournament, with travel support provided by Isles of Scilly Steamship Group as part of our ongoing sponsorship.

The tournament gave the young players the opportunity to compete against mainland teams while representing Scilly on a wider stage.

Teacher Adam May said: “A big thank you to all at the Isles of Scilly Steamship Group. We all had an amazing time on the mainland. The football was great and I would like to thank you again for helping us attend these events, organising the tickets and the help from the staff on Penzance Quay.”

Celebrating World Dolphin Day with ORCA

For more than 15 years, ORCA (tag)surveyors have joined us aboard Scillonian III, to record and understand the incredible marine life found along our route to the Isles of Scilly.

Dolphins are some of the most memorable encounters, from pods travelling alongside Scillonian III to sightings of common dolphins and Risso’s dolphins in the waters around Scilly.

As ORCA celebrates its 25th anniversary this year, we’re looking back at more than 15 years of wildlife discovery on board Scillonian III, including 25,000km of surveys and 1,787 animals recorded across 17 species. 🐬🌊

Every crossing is an opportunity to spot something special and learn more about the wildlife that calls these waters home.

For nearly five decades, the masters of Scillonian III have guided generations of passengers between Penzance and the Isles of Scilly.

As she sails her final season, we're proud to share this special commemorative film featuring some of the masters who have played a part in her story since 1977.

Their skill, dedication and leadership have helped shape the legacy of this iconic vessel, connecting island communities, visitors and memories for almost 50 years.

To learn more about the people who have stood at the helm, read our commemorative blog celebrating every master who has commanded Scillonian III since her first voyage in 1977:

Today is National Emergency Services Day, and we’d like to take a moment to thank everyone who works and volunteers across our emergency services.

At Land’s End Airport, we’re proud to support emergency services when they need us, from welcoming emergency helicopters and providing fuel and airfield support, to taking part in planned emergency exercises.

Our customers have also helped us support lifesaving work. Through our online booking, we’ve raised nearly £25k for Cornwall Air Ambulance, helping them continue their vital work across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.

And a special thank you to our own fire crew at Land’s End Airport, who work hard every day to help keep our airport safe. 🚒✈️

To the firefighters, Coastguard and RNLI crews, police, ambulance and NHS teams, volunteers, and everyone working behind the scenes - thank you for everything you do.
