What better way to celebrate than with a blind tasting of some of Cornwall's finest b**rs?

We gathered 8 b**r tasters, sampled 8 iconic Cornish brews, and scored each one out of 10:

🍺 Hicks

After adding up all the scores, there was a clear winner...

Hicks took the top spot!
Drift came a close second.
And a special mention goes to Proper Job 0.5%, which more than held its own against its full-strength rivals.

The tasting sparked plenty of debate, surprises and discoveries, proving once again that Cornwall produces some exceptional b**rs for every palate.

Wildlife excitement at Kernock.

We spotted green lights in the undergrowth around the estate; as bright as LEDs.

What could they be?

Glow worms! Their presence is a strong indicator of a healthy, chemical-free ecosystem. It also reinforces the fact we have dark skies here; glow worms depend on dark, wild and sheltered spaces.

The wingless adult females emit their signature green, LED-like glow during June and July to attract flying males.

In terms of size and shape, they’re more like large wood lice than worms.
