Today is the 200th anniversary of one of the most important and least told voyages in British history.

Two ships left Plymouth Sound on 22 May 1826. On a mission to make maps.

What followed was four years of freezing storms, near-sinkings, and extraordinary courage years before Charles Darwin ever set foot on deck.

This is that story.

What if your next adventure was closer than you thought?

The Tamar Valley is one of the most beautiful and overlooked places to sail in the southwest.

Ancient rivers, unspoilt countryside and a history that goes back centuries.

We’ve been out there scouting routes, finding hidden corners and we think you will love this part of Devon and Cornwall.

Join us on this wonderful voyage of discovery.

We took the drone and headed up into the Tamar Valley for a little adventure. The River Lynher is one Devon’s best places to re-connect with nature if you are looking for a very special day out on the water.
