This is why we love doing what we do...

Reuniting clients with their family members after lengthy periods apart is priceless.

This client entered the UK to work for our NHS and was subsequently informed that her child would be unable to join her.

We were approached to advise and with comprehensive representations, the family has this morning been reunited.

⏰ The clock is ticking!

There are now less than 50 days until the EU Settlement Scheme registration deadline on 30 June 2021.

If you are an EU, EEA or Swiss citizen (or their family member) and you were resident in the UK by 31 December 2020, you should apply without delay to the EU Settlement Scheme so that you can continue to work, study, and access free healthcare and benefits in the UK after 30 June 2021.

If you are an employer, we would urge you to remind your employees to register under the scheme (if applicable). Also, it is important to note that from 1 July 2021, new EU, EEA and Swiss employees you hire will need to demonstrate their right to work either with the pre-settled or settled status, or with a visa under the points-based immigration system.

If you have any queries or concerns about the process or on how to conduct thorough right to work checks, please contact one of our advisers today.

Thinking of all our lovely clients and their family members in St. Vincent at this worrying time. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Hello!

We thought an update was long overdue. We hope you are all well and enjoyed the Easter Bank Holiday weekend safely.

We are still limiting face-to-face appointments in the interests of safeguarding clients and staff but we continue to assist clients - new and old - remotely via telephone or video consultation.

If you have an immigration or nationality enquiry, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Things to Note:

1. EU Settlement Scheme applications must be made by 30 June 2021. Previous EU/EEA residence documents will not be valid after 30 June 2021. Give us a call or send us an email/message if you have any concerns about this.

2. Some good news for pharmacists, health professionals, physiotherapists, nursing auxiliaries and assistants and all secondary modern foreign language teachers; you have all been added to the shortage occupation list!

As always, stay safe and well!

We're back! Happy New Year to you all.

Our offices remain closed for face-to-face appointments to safeguard clients and staff. However, please rest assured that advisers are still available to assist.

There have been some significant changes over the Christmas period. On 31 December 2020, the Brexit transition period ended. As a result there have been changes to the Immigration Rules, particularly for employers, workers and students.

If you employ migrant workers (including EEA nationals) and seek further clarification on your duties and responsibilities in light of the changes, please contact us to arrange a consultation.

Similarly, if you are an EEA national and have not yet registered under the EU Settlement Scheme, please do not hesitate to contact us for further information.

Here's wishing you a healthy and more hopeful year ahead.

Good evening!

It's been a while since we posted but we just wanted to reassure you that we are still here to help should you need us!

We are continuing to assist clients despite advisers predominantly working remotely.

Face-to-face contact with clients will continue to be limited for the foreseeable future in order to safeguard staff and clients.

Should an in-person appointment be deemed necessary by an adviser, our advisers will discuss precautionary measures that must be taken for us to facilitate such an appointment. This will include informing you of the strict measures in place within our office buildings to maintain social distancing and help prevent the spread of COVID-19.

We will continue to monitor the situation carefully and plans will be subject to change pending government guidance and the health interests of our staff and clients.

If you have any queries or seek to speak to an adviser, please do not hesitate to contact us:

With lockdown restrictions starting to ease slightly, we wish to confirm how we plan to operate over the coming months.

As you may be aware, we have continued to assist clients throughout the pandemic. Our physical offices have closed temporarily but advisers have been working remotely.

Despite restrictions starting to ease, our advisers will continue to work remotely and limit face-to-face contact with clients in order to safeguard themselves and clients.

From July 2020, should an in-person appointment be deemed necessary by an adviser, our advisers will discuss precautionary measures that must be taken for us to facilitate such an appointment. This will include informing you of the strict measures in place within our office buildings to maintain social distancing and help prevent the spread of COVID-19.

We will continue to monitor the situation carefully and plans will be subject to change pending government guidance and the health interests of our staff and clients.

BBC News - Coronavirus: UK arrivals could face £1,000 fines if they break quarantine.

Please note - if you travel into the UK you will be required to self-isolate for 14 days. The government may carry out spot checks of the address you provide to ensure self-isolation is taking place. Failure to self-isolate could result in a fine.

Travellers to the UK must self-isolate for 14 days from next month, the government is expected to announce.

🌍 UPDATE 🌍

Our offices will remain closed at present to keep staff and clients safe. However, our advisers continue to work remotely and are available to assist new and existing clients.

UK borders are open but the majority of travellers will be required to self isolate on arrival in the UK for 14 days.

Overseas VFS Global and TLS Contact centres remain closed at present, as well as UKVCAS Service Points within the UK. Biometric appointments are therefore on hold at present which will inevitably cause delays to application processing.

Despite this, online applications can still be lodged (inside and outside the UK) so that the application is essentially 'in the queue' and it is imperative that those with leave to remain expiring ensure their online applications are lodged in time, otherwise they could be regarded as overstayers which would have a detrimental impact on future immigration status.

Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any queries or require assistance with an application.
