We talk a lot about investing money wisely.
But there's another asset I think we sometimes undervalue.

Our time.

How many evenings have you lost with 27 browser tabs open, comparing hotels?
How many lunch breaks have disappeared looking at flight times, transfers and reviews?
And how often does planning the holiday you desperately need start to feel like another job on the to-do list?

For many of my clients, the real luxury isn't simply where they stay.
It's having someone else take care of it.
Someone who takes the time to understand what matters to them.
Who researches the options.
Who joins the dots.
Who thinks about the details they might not even have considered.
And who is there if plans need to change.

Because thoughtfully designed travel doesn't just give you somewhere wonderful to go.
It gives you something back before you've even packed your suitcase.

Your time.

Your headspace.

And the reassurance that it's being taken care of.

Perhaps that's one of the most valuable returns of all.

Peace of Mind Isn't an Upgrade

We spend a lot of time thinking about where we're going.
The hotel.
The flights.
The experiences.
The restaurants we'll discover when we get there.

But there's another part of travel that isn't quite as exciting to talk about.
What happens when something doesn't go to plan?

A cancelled flight.
A missed connection.
A hotel that isn't quite what you expected.
Plans that suddenly need to change.

That's when you realise that peace of mind isn't an optional extra.

It's part of the investment.

For me, thoughtfully designed travel isn't simply about creating a wonderful itinerary.
It's knowing the details have been considered.

Knowing your arrangements are protected.
Knowing there's someone in your corner before, during and after your trip.
And knowing that if something does go wrong, you won't be left trying to sort it out alone.

Hopefully you'll never need that part of my service.
But knowing it's there?

That's complete peace of mind.

And I think that's something worth investing in.

Yesterday wasn't a bad day at the office... 🚢🍸

I was lucky enough to be invited aboard Virgin Voyages' Valiant Lady while she was docked at South Queensferry, for a special agent day exploring everything this rather impressive lady has to offer.

And we certainly made the most of it!

We explored the ship, enjoyed a fabulous steak lunch at The Wake, sampled a cocktail or two 🍸 and there may even have been a little karaoke involved... 🎤😂

But what really struck me was just how different the Virgin Voyages experience feels from traditional cruising.

It's adults only, relaxed and designed to let you do things your own way. There are more than 20 places to eat, with speciality dining included, no set dining times and no traditional formal nights. Wi-Fi, entertainment, group fitness classes and gratuities are included too, so quite a lot is already taken care of once you're onboard.

Then there are all the fabulous spaces to enjoy. Poolside with a cocktail, somewhere quiet to relax, fantastic food, entertainment when you fancy it, or perhaps taking things up a notch with one of the RockStar Quarters.

Days like yesterday are so valuable for me because I get to experience the ship for myself. I can see the cabins, try the food, explore the spaces and soak up the atmosphere, which gives me a genuine feel for who I think would absolutely love this style of cruising.

And Valiant Lady definitely left an impression. ❤️

Never considered a cruise before? I wouldn't necessarily rule this one out...
