Looking ahead to September, and our most epic of current trips to the Picos De Europa mountains in northern Spain. I'll be heading up the tour along with our fabulous local guide, Mike, but if numbers allow, Martin will join us too :)

This one is for those who relish climbing a few thousand feet every day to marvel at the majesty of these mountains. It's my personal favourite tour, and exploring the trails and peaks, flora and fauna with Mike (who knows the mountains like the back of his hand) is nothing but glorious.

After every day throughout our week on the Isles of Scilly, once we have caught our ferry back to St. Mary's, we could well be greeted with a beautiful sunset over the Isle of Samson. At our hotel, there are tables and chairs in the garden overlooking the bay where we can regale our day's adventures with our fellow travellers over a glass of something nice, and then head out for the evening meal at one of our favourite pubs and restaurants before a restful night gently serenaded by the lapping waves. One of the lovely aspects of a trip to the Isles of Scilly is the transport to our daily walks, it's all by boat! Starting and ending the day with a short cruise on a beautiful old boat is just fabulous. It's just another aspect that gives this trip an almost dreamlike impression.
