Rhyl Music Club’s 79th season of outstanding classical concerts will be held at 7.00pm from September 2026 to March 2027.

September 30th at 7.00pm: Piano Quartets

Mary Hofman, violin
Emma Shepherd, viola
Rebecca Knight, cello
Richard Ormrod, piano

Brahms No 3
Martinu H287

Piano quartets are perhaps the most accessible music form and to get our season off to a popular start, we have a quartet of superb musicians. Richard and Mary are known to most of us, but we also have two other players of repute. Emma Shepherd is a regular Principal Viola with numerous orchestras and uses her expertise in films and games music. Rebecca Knight has similar experience with chamber orchestras but of late has extended her interests to electronic composition and especially in bringing together music and natural world soundscapes.

Tickets to individual concerts are £15, available online and at the door with cash or card. All are welcome and entrance is free to all students in full-time education and to under 16s accompanied by an adult.

Rhyl Town Hall, Wellington Road, Rhyl LL18 1BA
Regarded as one of the best concert halls on the North Wales coast, with a fine acoustic, Rhyl Town Hall seats over 300 and has a bar and refreshment facilities. It is easily accessible in the centre of town from both the coast road and expressway. The hall provides wheelchair access and a lift. Parking is available next to the Town Hall on Water Street.
