Our Perry Pear Tree is over 300 years old 🌳
Possibly descended from the original orchards planted by the monks 🍐
The pears would be harvested and made into Perry using the stone cider mills which are still on site today 🍺
This year we’ve had an abundance of fruit and to save the old tree and her branches we’ve had to shake off some of the fruit
If anyone would like to have a go at making their own Perry feel free to come and collect them, be warned though taste them as they are and you might get a bit of a shock 😅
