🍦Sunday Sundae anyone?

We popped over to one of our faves this afternoon for some countryside fun and amazing ice cream .

Rowlestone court is a local gem that's well worth a visit with or without children.
With beautiful countryside views, woodland walks, a range of exciting play equipment and new disc golf (on the list to try next) as well as a fantastic selection of homemade ice creams, it's the perfect excuse for a little outing

The garden was also well laid out making the most of the space, and all just a couple of minutes walk from the town.

We have stayed at many places over the years, including big out of town places and Old Forge stands up with any of them.

We are just trying to find an excuse to come back again!"

I couldn't resist this trend.....😜

The (probably) 90s version of Old Forge cottage.
Well I certainly don't think anything has been done much before the 90s even when we bought it in 2016!

I wish we had more photos and knew more of it's history! If only the walls could talk....

Thankfully we gave it a much needed glow up. Same place, just a lot less jazzy carpet and more beautiful, original features exposed.

This isn’t a restaurant, it's an experience!

It was Gareth's birthday this week so last night we went to a local, tucked away gem that we've been meaning to try for ages.....Under the nut tree!

Hailed as Herefordshires best kept secret, Friday and Saturday nights feature a 3 course set menu championing the finest local produce cooked on a needs to be seen outdoor fire kitchen....... Long. Slow and smokey.🔥

Relaxed seating in an eclectic old barn, under cover outdoor area or completely al fresco under the nut tree in warmer months.... there's chat around fire pits, talking to the chefs and no rush to do anything other than enjoy.....we were not disappointed and will definitely be returning.

" Our extended family of five adults and two children felt very at home in Old Forge Cottage. It's a beautifully furnished, comfortable, cottage style house, and probably the most thoughtfully equipped holiday let we've ever stayed in. I was particularly thankful for the discovery of two dog bowls when we realised we'd left ours at home.
Zoe was very welcoming and always helpful when we needed to ask a question. We highly recommend a stay in Old Forge Cottage."
