HOW is this my life?! 🥹✈️🌴

Honestly, I still can’t quite believe I’m saying this…

I’M OFF TO THE MALDIVES! 🇲🇻

In just over a week, I’ll be heading off on the most incredible Travel Counsellors trip, spending 9 nights in the Maldives and because apparently going to the Maldives wasn’t exciting enough I’m experiencing THREE gorgeous resorts first-hand.

There’ll be resort tours, room inspections, restaurants, experiences, activities and plenty of learning along the way.

After nearly 30 years working in travel, I still have moments like this where I genuinely think…

HOW is this my job?! How is this my life?! 🥹

I’ve booked the Maldives for so many clients over the years, but there’s nothing like actually experiencing a destination yourself. Seeing the rooms, trying the food, experiencing the transfers and getting a proper feel for which resort suits which client is invaluable.

I am SO ridiculously excited.

Also, can we just acknowledge that I’ve actually filmed myself TALKING on Instagram?! 😂 If you know me, you’ll appreciate what an achievement that is!

12 holidays… 🥹✈️🌍

I had this message from one of my lovely clients last night and it genuinely made me stop and think.

“Think this is our 12th holiday booked through you!”

TWELVE! 🤯❤️

And they’re just one of so many clients who have trusted me with their holidays, year after year.

I never, ever take that loyalty for granted.

Over the years, I’ve watched your families grow up. Kids starting high school, then suddenly they’re heading off to uni! 🥹 I’ve heard about new jobs, new homes, engagements and weddings, new babies, big birthdays, anniversaries, and pretty much everything in between.

And because I’ve been raising my own family alongside you, I sometimes feel like I’ve lived those years with you too. ❤️

While your children have been growing up, so have mine. We’ve gone through so many of the same stages at the same time. School starts, teenage years, family changes, celebrations and all those little life moments that happen between one holiday and the next.

After a while, I genuinely feel like I know you! 🥹

I know who likes an aisle seat, who needs a great kids’ club, who wants somewhere lively and who absolutely does NOT 😂. I remember the places you loved, the ones you wouldn’t rush back to and all those little things that make a holiday your holiday.

And the fact that you keep coming back and trusting me with your holidays, your money and, most importantly, your precious family memories really does mean the world to me.

So whether you’ve booked 12 holidays, 2 holidays or you’re about to book your very first one with me, thank you. 🙏🏼

Every booking, recommendation, share, tag and “I’ve given my friend your number” genuinely matters to my little business.

Your loyalty never goes unnoticed. I appreciate you more than you know. ❤️

Swapping flights, hotels and sunshine for CPR and defibrillators today!

My first ever Emergency First Aid ⛑️ course

Definitely a little different to my usual day of planning holidays, sorting flights and talking all things travel ✈️🌴

But actually, such a useful skill to have and one of those things I’ve always thought I should know how to do.

Especially when I spend my Sunday mornings surrounded by a small army of 6 and 7 year old rugby players! 😂🏉

Hopefully skills I’ll never need to use, but very glad I now know them!

Possibly the BEST phone call to receive on a wet September morning… ☔️📞

I’m honestly BUZZING with excitement about what I’m doing next! 🤩✈️

I’m keeping the destination under wraps for just a little bit longer… but there might be a clue or two in this photo 👀🌊☀️

But don’t worry, you won’t have to wait long to find out because I’m off on 14th September! 😂

Looks like it’s time to get the passport back out again!

Slightly quieter than usual on here this week… and I think the photos probably explain why! 😂

We’ve officially reached the final few days of the school holidays, and I am very much in the depths of end of summer mum life!

Trying to find school trousers to fit a very tall teenager ✔️
Hunting down the apparently impossible to find, out of stock Transformers school bag ✔️
A daughter at Reading Festival quite literally living her best life✔️
Visiting family ✔️
A trip to Alton Towers ✔️
Dinner with the rugby coaches ahead of the new season 🏉🥂 ✔️
And generally attempting to remember which child needs to be where, when, and with what! 😂

All whilst keeping the travel business ticking away in the background, because of course holidays don’t stop just because mine are still off school! ✈️

So yes, socials have been a little quieter, but life definitely hasn’t been.

The good news is…

WE ARE ALMOST THERE! 🙌🏼

The kids are back midweek, routine is returning, and I’m actually so looking forward to sitting at my desk with a hot cup of tea and knowing what day of the week it is again. 😂

I’m seeing far too much talk of autumn, gingerbread lattes, cosy fashion, and dare I say it…pumpkin spice!

It’s still AUGUST people!! 😂

I’m hanging onto summer with both hands, preferably with a margarita in one of them 🍹☀️

Your to-do list is long enough… ✈️

As a busy mum, I know exactly what it’s like.

Work. Kids. School. Clubs. Appointments. Food shopping. Washing. Life admin. And the approximately 400 other things that somehow need doing 😂

So when you finally sit down in the evening, do you really want to spend hours scrolling through hotels, comparing flights, reading reviews and wondering whether you’ve actually made the right choice?

Probably not.

And that’s exactly where I come in.

For me, planning your holiday isn’t simply about asking “Where do you want to go?”

I want to know what matters to you.

How you want to feel when you’re there.
What you love doing.
What you absolutely don’t want.
Who you’re travelling with.
The little things that will make a difference.
And, of course, what you want to spend!

Then I can do what I do best.

The research. The comparing. The planning. The organising. The details you might not even have thought about.

You get to look forward to your holiday without adding another job to your never-ending list. ❤️

Sometimes Ruffles, a frozen cocktail and sunshine really are the answer to all your problems. ☀️🍹

And this is exactly why I love holidays.

It’s not always about ticking off sights or having every day planned. Sometimes it’s just about switching off, sitting by the pool, eating the crisps and thinking about absolutely nothing for a while.

If your current view is considerably less sunny than this, maybe it’s time we sorted that… ✈️☀️
