One Trearren is a three bedroom/three bathroom apartment tucked away in a quiet part of Churchtown in the heart of St Agnes, in the middle of a UNESCO world heritage site. The apt is beautifully furnished, well equipped and has private parking for two cars. We are perfectly located for accessing the stunning pubs, bars and restaurants that are located just a few steps away. We are also a short wal

k from the St Agnes Beacon, North Cornish coast path and Trevaunance beach. Chapel Porth beach with it's famous cliff top tin mine is a mere five minute drive.

With the recent run of sunny weather, beachgoers haven't been the only ones enjoying Cornish waters. Recent sightings include impressive amounts of barrel jellyfish, Risso's dolphins, early mauve stingers, huge numbers of octopus and, this week, a leatherback turtle.

These species, while not unheard of here, remain rare and an indicator of changing waters. And with changing wildlife behaviour it's important that we adapt.

If you're heading out on the water this half term, please stay vigilant and keep your distance, at least 100m, especially from leatherbacks, which rest at the surface and are vulnerable to boat strikes due to poor hearing and low visibility. If you are lucky enough to spot one, do let us know.

Our coastline is alive with the possibilities of rare and special marine sightings at the moment.

If you’re heading to the beaches or cliffs to look for a chance encounter or simply soak in the views and enjoy the seabirds you just never know what you might see, part of what makes Cornwall so special. If you do get lucky make sure you watch responsibly by following the Marine and Coastal Code. Our marine wildlife faces so many challenges, make sure you’re not one of them.

Give the animals space and time, observe from a distance and be calm while you enjoy your encounter.

Make sure you report your sightings too !

We understand the excitement around the recent sightings of the elusive humpback whale along our coastline – it’s truly a spectacular sight! 🐋✨

However, we want to remind everyone to stay safe while enjoying the view:

✅ Keep dogs on leads – sudden movements or excitement can lead to accidents.
✅ Watch children closely – cliffs can be unpredictable, and safety comes first.
✅ Stay well back from the cliff edge – erosion and slippery surfaces can be dangerous.

Please respect the coastline, wildlife, and your own safety. Enjoy the wonders of nature responsibly! 🌊🐬
