The Oddies out and about didn't head far from home on our latest adventures, yesterday afternoon we went to the Brickhouse Tavern St Helens (around the corner from St Helens URC) to watch Tina Turner tribute, we had Simply The Best time and I think we would have done Mary very Proud as we helped Joan celebrate her special birthday too! St Helens & Warrington Oddfellows 🥳

We had a great afternoon watching the Tina Turner tribute at the Brickhouse. Thanks Nicola for arranging it x

Something to be aware of on Sunday 7th September

On Sunday 7 September, the Government will be testing the Emergency Alarm system on mobile phones.

Your phone or tablet might receive an alert, make a loud siren-like sound and vibrate. Don't worry, you don't need to do anything when this happens.

The Emergency Alerts system is used to warn if there’s a danger to life nearby, such as extreme weather, and the test is to make sure the system is working as it should, in case it's needed.

Diving home yesterday I was surprised to see Queens Park in full bloom so had to stop the car to go and explore. Spent about half an hour unplanned just looking at the flowers with my daughter and taking photos (the better photos are hers). Isn't nature wonderful and just stopping for a moment and breathing. This video from St Helens Borough Council explains a little about the regeneration https://youtube.com/shorts/Ec9HSMelIPE?si=jzH4Zknk4ip36upJ well done and thank you to whoever planted your efforts are appreciated 🌸😍🌼
